I have these drapes in my bedroom in the blue and liked them so much that when I was looking for a drape in my livingroom I was so happy they were still in stock. They look just wonderful and have had friends and family say how nice they improve the room.

Beautiful Curtains!
from Austin, Texas,  Aug 2, 2008

These curtains are amazing! Just as other reviewers have mentioned, they are beautiful, thick, blocks out sunlight, and insulated well. They look and feel very expensive, so getting them at this price is an amazing deal! I got mine in gold and have been searching for something like this to go in my formal dining room and they turned out just perfect! I love them. I did have to iron them before hanging them up, but I just used a regular steam iron. It took a little bit of time, but it wasn't too bad. The only thing I wasn't used to was having to use the clip rings to hang them up...that was a first for me...I have always used pocket rod curtains. Thanks Overstock for another great deal. I definitely recommend this product!

Amazing curtains at an amazing price
from Boulder, CO,  Jun 24, 2008

I ordered the Oyster panels, got them today and they were the exact color I was expecting (I had read a previous review on this site about the darker color than shown in the product page). The material is nice and heavy, quality is really good - I would know; my mom is a professional seamstress so I know what to look for - and they really help make my living room look more put-together. I ordered 2 sets of this, (4 panels total) but it turns out that I only need 1 set. My window is about 65" wide and technically I could have used the second set (2-3x window's width, I think is recommended), but since they are so heavy and luxurious, adding another set would have been overkill. I do have a set of sheer curtains behind the Wellington ones, so it creates a very nice layered look The only thing is that I think I may have to iron these panels out; they do look a little wrinkled and do not fall as gracefully to the floor as I think they could. FYI: each curtain panel at this width (96") takes about 10 curtain clips.

Very nice for the price
 from NYC,  May 18, 2008

These drapes are an excellent buy for the price. My big disappointment, however is the color. I chose oyster. I thought I knew what the color of oyster was, but to be sure I even googled "oyster" and was shown all kinds of products featuring that color -- sort of a light creamy beige was shown each time, confirming what I had in mind. Anyway the drapes arrived and they are definitely taupe. Thinking I had been sent the wrong set, I checked the packaging -- they sent oyster. So beware of this color problem. Anyway, I liked them so much I decided to keep them. They're heavy and definitely keep out the sun, air, etc. I really do believe they're worth a lot more than Overstock is asking for them.

96" Curtains
 from La.,  Feb 7, 2008

when this is listed as 96", I was searching for 96 " long Curtains. This would have been a great price for them. That is what we use all over our home. When these arrived they were 84" instead ?

Wellington 96" Taupe Curtains
from San Diego, Ca,  Jan 12, 2008

I'm very happy with these curtains. High end look (after lots of ironing) for a discount price. Nice weight to the curtains. The backing really works to keep the sun out. I got the Taupe color. The curtains really look green not a taupe/beige. But they are so nice I'm putting some simular pillows on my sofa to bring in that new color. You will be happy with these! Quick shipping and great customer service as always!

Finally . . .
from Los Angeles, CA,  Dec 12, 2007

I figured out how to make the drapes look as good as in the photos. Be prepared to use elbow grease and a damp cloth during ironing to remove wrinkles when they arrive. I had forgotten that foam backing makes curtains resist draping nicely, so when tacking the pleats at the bottom didn't help, I decided to use corded tiebacks which work nicely. I bought one size wider than the window called for and am happy with the decision. My only complaint is that the side hems were not straight, a problem that the tiebacks have solved. The drapes now look like they cost far more than I paid.

Love these curtains!
from Washington state,  Nov 11, 2011

I was a bit leery of the description since I like to see what I am buying first, but I was very please when they arrived. They were heavier than I expected, and great for keeping out the cold of winter and the heat in the summer months. I was so please with the purchase that I went back and bought more for my family room. I love it when you can look at something and say to yourself that it was one of the best investment I have made off of Overstock especially when my electric bill comes in every month.

These are perfect for keeping the sun and heat out of my rooms. I suppose they are good insulatioin in the cold also but we don't have so much of that in south TX. These are well insulated and very private, highly recommended.

Great Curtains
 from Illinois,  Apr 9, 2009

These curtains are fabulous. They look more expensive than they are. Heavy and thick, they keep out the light and cold well. And the price can't be beat. I looked all over, both online and in stores. I had nine windows to do and couldn't afford hundreds and hundreds of dollars. These are perfect. The sage is a beautiful color, and I purchased oyster as well. I hope they are still available when I do my bedroom next fall. Too bad the drapery rods are more expensive than the curtains!

Curtains
 from Saint Louis,Missouri,  Feb 19, 2009

I love my curtains and the valances. The quality of the curtains are exceptional in quality and appearance. My daughter figuired how the valances should be put together because there were no instructions. Everyone states the curtains are beautiful and cannot believe the price. I lowered the traverse rod to make the curtains the correct length and they are perfect. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

Nice Draperies
from Troup, Texas,  Jan 1, 2009

-I am very pleased with these drapes however, the color Oyster is more of a beige color than oyster. I had shopped locally for pinch-pleated drapes and they are very hard to find, almost seem to be obsolete! These drapes were exactly what I needed for my traverse rod size. The price is very reasonable too! !

Panels
from Douglassville, PA,  Dec 26, 2008

We really like the panels. They are pretty and serve their purpose of keeping out the sun and the cold weather. We bought the oyster panels. I was afraid that they would be too light, but they are darker than we expected. We have green walls and the oyster colored panels contrast really well with the paint. We are glad we bought them, and they were a very good price. I think that they would have cost a lot more at a retail store. The only thing we do not like about the panels is that you have to hang them with rings that clips on them. I don't care much for how that looks, but the panels are still worth the price.

It is wonderful the only problem is that the color selected (oyster) is more like a light taupe but over all I'm really happy w/my purchase

Very Disappointed
from Bloomington, IL,  Dec 3, 2008

Opened package and the color and pattern fit beautifully with a room we were redoing. This is where my excitement ended. Upon hanging these drapes we discovered that the bottom of the drapes measured correctly and covered our window, but the top corners of both panels cut in approx. 2-3 inches as if they had either been cut or sewn incorrectly. If we pulled the curtains over to overlap the top, cover the flaw and try to cover the window then the panel was not wide enough to cover our window. I then decided that I really loved them and liked the price so I ordered the next width thinking that maybe this was only 1 defective pair and that even if the wider ones were not cut perfectly, the extra width would cover our window completely making them energy effective, but the wider pair were also very much cut or sewn incorrectly on the top corners and also very visible. These are no longer available in the wider width so I am trying to play around with different ways to overlap them or hand them so that the flaw maybe not so visible. I really loved these curtains, the color is perfect and the pattern is absolutely beautiful, just wished that I could have bought a pair that was not defective.

GREAT CATCH!
 from PA,  Nov 26, 2008

I ordered one pair to see if I would like them, and after I saw them I ordered two more pairs. They are a nice heavy fabric and add a touch of class to my living room. You cannot go wrong with the quality of these drapes, not to mention the low price too! The oyster is a little darker than what I expected, but I still like the shade.

Room darkening thermal drapes
from Port Orange, Florida,  Nov 14, 2008

Excellent workmanship and material make this product highly desirable in a formal/classical setting. Great appearance and value. Quality hardware is required to support these drapes because of their weight. Truly a good value.
