I bought this item because of the steaming time. However, I would be more please with the item if I could figure out how to get the attachments on. The instruction state to slide them onto the steam nossle. I'v tried everything to get them on. What am I doing wrong.
I bought two of these at the suggestion of a friend who is a professional stylist for models and has to steam clothes a lot. These work well. Quick and easy. I'm lazy and have only used both once before giving them to friends who use them almost daily. Both friends still rave about how great the steamers work and it's been a little over a year since I bought them. I'm thinking this old dog might want to start steaming her clothes so I'll probably buy another one but I definitely won't give it away!!!!
Works pretty well. Soemtimes spits a little water but not bad!
I am terrible with an iron so I got this steamer and have been very pleased with it. The cons are few:- the cord is, indeed, short; I would like to see the next model have about twice the length- It does go through water very quickly- It sometimes spits water so you might end up with a wet spot on whatever you're steaming, however it dries within 10 minutes so it's a minor inconvenienceFor me, the pros far outweight the cons. The pros:- Steams up quickly- Cools down quickly (unlike an iron that stays hot for at least 30 minutes and you have to worry about it possibly tipping over and buring something)- it's portable (I had no trouble carrying it in my carry-on bag on a plane trip)- It gets the job done pretty fast- It DOES get the wrinkles out effectively as long as you follow the instructions and start from the bottom of the garment and work your way up.I steam my clothes perfectly in half the time it used to take me to iron anything. I'm very pleased with it.
Seems to work fine for small jobs. Don't tackle large jobs with this....water tank too small. I saw this for the less money in several stores after purchase. Seems like $19.95 was a rather common price.
Great product works well heats up quick .Thanks Overstock
it did not work well. half way done my arm was already tired from moving it up and down. i had for a while now, i only used it once.
The description of this steamer led me to believe that it would remove wrinkles easily and quickly, but it takes lots of time and effort. If you were in a situation where you could not use an iron, then this product would be better than nothing. If you are thinking you could use this steamer in place of an iron for quick wrinkle removal, don't believe it. Stay with your iron. Pros: Sturdy, well built, boils water fast Cons: cord too short, cord needs 3 prong extension cord, steams away its water source very fast, doesn't work on wrinkles as well as advertised.
For a small steamer, it does a fairly good job. It's sometimes difficult to remove wrinkles from heavier fabrics and does take time to use. I guess for the price, it's not bad. I was not happy that the attachments didn't attach to the nozzle. What's the point of including something if you can't use it? Overall though- this steamer could have been better. However, it is small and portable which makes this a plus when you have to store it away.
Had this for a few weeks (less than 30 days!) and it started leaking! Would have been great if it wasn't leaking.
Doesn't hold enough water, and as a result one spends all ones time waiting and refilling steamer. Only steams for ten minutes, then one has to wait for cool down, then refill, and ten reheat.
I ordered this product because I cannot iron. I found it very easy to use, it does a great job of getting wrinkles out of my clothes, and I can leave home looking "finished". Just drain any remaining water out, put the steamer back on the shelf, and you're ready for the next item with wrinkles. I was amazed that such an inexpensive item would do such a good job.
