Lovely Piece of Art
I painted my living room gray, thinking it would up the "class factor" of the room. I have tall ceilings and some large wall space to fill. However, my room is in mostly tans and warm browns, so I don't know WHAT I wast thinking when I painted the room gray. HOWEVER, this piece of art caught my eye because I needed to accent the gray in my space. Even though this is more modern than my traditional living room, it is a lovely piece of art. The blacks are very black on the pier, and the oil paint is raised so that when you are up close, you can see the texture of the painting. It is a striking piece and does not clash w/ my traditional room. It is a brooding picture, and reminds me of the cold, dark, November days here in the Pacific Northwest with our Puget Sound as backdrop. If I could upload a copy of the art on MY wall to give you an idea, I would, but this site does not have that option. This was packaged VERY well. I had no problems w/ shipping. As another poster said, it takes a few holes in the wall to get it lined up JUST right, but those of you with laser levels will be fine. I wasn't sure if I was going to like spacing the different pieces apart as shown in the preview on this site, but I did end up doing that anyways, and it works. I recommend this for more than just you modern types, or you monochromatic types. It would look great down a long hallway I think too, which was my 2nd option for hanging it. But you really need to stand back and view it to really appreciate it. I think it would look great hanging above a bed on a large bedroom wall, or even on a long wall in a gray and black bathroom. Nice piece! 5 starts for quality, shipping, and presentation.

Great Deal
Painful installation almost made this a 4, but it just looks too good. The picture fails to capture the dimension of the paint, as well as the white actually being a cream color. The hangers were not completely centered, which made leveling and spacing a trial and error experience. The final result is a 6 foot piece of wall space that I would have likely spent triple filling up with decorations that look half as nice.

Impressive Canvas set
This is a striking canvas set, perfect for our wall which has a small window. It continues the window-view, which happens to be piers as we live by the water. We had to re-drill some of the hangers as they weren't exactly centered, it was well worth the effort. With it being black, ourTV set looks even better as it is also black. The room looks contemporary and everything is in harmony. Packaging was good, nothing was damaged.

Love this pitcure
I saw this painting on Overstock and knew this is what I wanted for my Living room. After I put it up I have got all kinds of complements, and others wanted to buy the same painting. I love this painting it looks great. The size is kind of big but cool.

Not what I expected
I expected the image to appear more realistic and professionally done. It almost looks like paint by number and there are thick drip marks on it.

Pier painting
Ordered this for a wall in master bedroom. Walls are a nice grey and rest of room is shades of grey, black, white and plum. The picture is definitely only grey, black, white. Looks really nice with room. I like that the pieces aren't matched up exactly. Like the depth to it. Husband really likes too. Pieces are super lightweight, hung them up with a level and nails in less than ten minutes. I do agree with other reviewer though that the 2nd piece from the right has too much white in the bottom portion, almost like there should be more shading or grey there. You can see it in online too. It is bugging me but I think I'll live with it. Pros- fast shipping, no damage, very light pieces. Easy hang up. Looks more expensive Cons- Some flaws in shading, contrast

Not exactly what I'd hoped
From the internet picture, it appeared that this was a photograph. Online, the lines in the picture appeared very crisp. However, it is a painting. Perhaps I did not read the description closely enough. The second panel from the right has been problematic when we tried to hang it. If you match up the water line, then it is not hung level with the opposite panel. Online, it appears that everything is shaded appropriately. However, this panel is bright white under the dock, so something appears off - like there should be a shadow from the dock , but there isn't. I still think the picture is cool, but every time I look at it, my eye is drawn to these imperfections.
