I purchased the set in black, months ago, and people continue to ask me where I got it. I picked up the green set for my sister who loved this item. Knives are solid metal, no place for food, water, or germs to collect. Sheathes in the back take away from the look a bit, but are necessary for safety. Buy a good sharpener, as the original edge is sturdy but not as sharp as I prefer.

I would never have found this item on my own but my college age son saw one in an online design blog and loved it. Hence the birthday present. This unique knife holder sculpture always gets attention with "Where did you get that?" tp "That is the coolest thing ever!" This green apple color is a nice focal point for any kitchen color scheme and is just wacky enough to carry off the look as art. Because it is a plastic material, I would never order it in the chrome color because I think then it would look cheap. This is a very functional piece as well and the knives are adequate.

I used the holder once, because I thought it was funny, but then it just was cumbersome on my counter. The knives, however, were really nice, and super slicers. I threw out the holder dude, and use just the knives.

This knife holder is larger than it appears and the circle base takes up a lot of space. The plastic is cheap and cracks easily. I never used the knives so I don't know how nice they are. We sent it back. The color is very true to the picture and very nice.

This is a very cool conversation piece. It is substantial in size and draws attention. I only wish the knife quality was a bit better. They are flat blades so they can be sharpened, but this is more decorative as sold. That being said, the knife could be replaced with a better set if you wanted to use this as a functional holder. The price was great as I saw this piece at an art museum gift shop for over double the price. Thanks Overstock!!

This is not only a good knife set, but an awesome conversation piece! LIterally everyone who has seen this has commented on it and laughed out loud when I told them what it's called. I am recently divorced so it is particularly funny. I highly recommend this product!!

looks wonderful in my kitchen, a great conversation starter and excellent manufactureres warantee. also the base is magnetic, that is an added bonus. the quality of the knives is also excellent!

This set up is much bigger than I pictured. It's so very funny and deffinaltely a conversation piece.

I ordered this for a friend of mine who has recently divorced her husband. This definitely made her laugh. She thought it was hilarious. She's enjoyed showing it to family and friends that have visited. Not sure how functional or durable it is but it was a great gag gift which is why I gave it 5 stars across the board!

The "Ex" is great fun, great looking, and my chef son-in-law was even surprised at the quality of the knives. Don't worry about safety, the knives are nicely sheathed in plastic sleeves at the back of the unit, and there seems to be magnets holding them in place. Really happy with this purchase.

I really liked this knife set when I saw it online and just had to have it. The price was a little high, but I had a coupon, so all is well :). When I opened up the package, I was surprised at how large it was. It takes up alot of room on my counter, but it sure is fun to talk about. I love stabbing the little guy after cleaning my knives.
