Beautiful
 from Montana,  Nov 9, 2010

Love this blind--in fact i ordered another smaller one in beige for a door--really enhances the rooms where they are used. Never had anything but great experience in ordering from overstock. They always deliver ahead of schedule--even on back order. Will lcontinue to order---can't beat the values.

love these but need help
from Birmingham, AL,  Sep 20, 2009

I really like my magic blinds, hanging was super easy and they look great over my sliding door. Agree they are heavy but I kept my center support rod on and hooked it over anyway, it's slightly bunched in the middle but you can barely tell, I may modify in the future and make a slit for the support to hold the bar through the fabric instead of on top of it, but it works for now. My question is my magic blind came with a pulley system for it to go up and down that attaches to the wall, but no instructions on how high up it needs to be attached to the wall! Any suggestions??

Great Window Treatment
from Loveland, CO,  Jun 24, 2009

I was looking for a window covering for my sliding door that I could close halfway to three quarters of the way down, it also goes all the way to the floor if I need it to. This is a very well made shade and I love the color (green), it goes well with my decor. I had a blind that went sideways with panels. I removed the panels and metal bar from the support bar and this new blind slipped straight through the support bar. I use the blind with the valance I already had, VERY SATISFIED with my purchase.

Exciting Idea- Let down in practice
from New York, NY,  Jun 24, 2009

I was psyched about this- because it matched my room and seemingly had all the qualities I wanted. However, it fell on me yesterday- and a piece of it fell off. Make sure you secure it as tightly as possible- and realize that you will be pulling down hard on it twice a day...

Good value
 Jun 19, 2009

I'm very pleased with these shades at their price point. I have large windows and had been expecting to need custom window coverings before finding these. My windows already have blinds, but a lot of light bleeds in through them in the morning. These shades successfully filter the vast majority of the remaining light-- there's a little bleed through during the height of the day and along the edges. As far as hanging and usage, my experience matches those of some of the other reviewers: the shades are heavy and should be put on sturdy, well anchored curtain rods. And, there are three separate strings for raising / lowering (one for each edge and the middle) that you have to be certain to grasp together

Thai Magic Blind
 from Colorado,  Feb 12, 2009

Excellent value. Much heavier than I expected. Picture looks plain but mine has a very nice texture. Mine is in linen colour and is closer to a warm wheat shade. I live with INTENSE sun glare all year. With the snow, the sun's reflection is almost blinding in the house and the blind does a great job at keeping the bright glare out. I had no trouble with the pull cords, you just pull them together like any blind. They work smoothly and are very easy to adjust. Instead of cutting the blind for a center support, I turned the center hook horizontal and the center of the blind rests on the hook.

Magician's Assistants
 from Oklahoma,  Jan 22, 2009

I think you get a lot for your money but we ran into a problem. First these a well made and heavy so get yourself a heavy duty curtain rod. I would recommend at least a 1 3/8" or more in diameter. These rods come with center support but the curtains do not have an access opening for the rod support, it it really coulld use one to keep from sagging in the middle. I made a simple retangular opening for the support. I folded the edges of the opening inward and used fabric glue to make the opening neat. (you can't really see it however). The look is excellent and sophiticated and once you get the hang of it they open and close without a problem.

Very nice but hard to pull and look good
from Palm Beach County, Florida,  Nov 26, 2008

As stated these look very nice, very modern. The only problem is that as you raise them the tilt left to right (and center) due to the many string pulls. So as you raise them you must take care to pull each string in such a way that it stays even.

better than expected
from Boston, MA,  Nov 16, 2008

I bought the sage color which turned out to be a dark sage. The quality cannot be beat for the price. How easy it is to just put through a curtain rod and hang, it took 5 minutes. There is a white privacy liner backing. The material is heavier than I expected.
