I am impressed
Anonymous  from USA,  May 5, 2006

I believe this to be the first product I own that was manufactured in Vietnam. I am impressed. The anodized aluminum is top quality and the fabric appears to be as well. All fittings are stainless steel. The assembly is best done over a glass of wine and ample time. If these arrive 3 hours before a pool party...put them away until you are not rushed. Take note when the instructions suggest that you keep all bolts loose until all components are assembled. If you pre-tighten you will find yourself loosening. I know. Our assessment is that the chaise looks like one which would be in the $1000 (US) range. We hope it wears well outdoors.

Sleek and Modern
from Media, PA,  May 5, 2006

Great chairs. I purchased two and they both arrived in great shape with no damage. Do plan on taking some time to assemble. After you finally figure out the best way to put it together, the others take half the time. If I had more space I would have bought several more. Great way to have that "DWR" look for a fraction of the cost.

Great Chair, Long Assembly Time
 from Milwaukee,  May 5, 2006

Great looking once you are done with assembly. The chairs look great, but it takes about two hours (and even says 2 hours) to assemble each chair. Long time with a ton of parts, but very nice chair once you are done.

Terrazza lounge chair
from Brigantine, New Jersey,  Sep 4, 2007

I purchased four and they look amazing on my deck. Yes, they are somewhat difficult to assemble. I found that using rachet type straps to pull the sides together helped tremendously. You cannot pull the sides close using only the screws. I cut the allen key with a bolt cutter and used the cut off in a screw gun. I was able to assemble a chair in about 45 minutes. Well worth the effort.

I read in another review that this lounge chair was "surprisingly hard to assemble" and I have to agree. When I read in the instructions (which are surprisingly poor) that it would take about 2 hours I was stunned. Well, it's correct. Almost 2 hours to the dot. The problem is that there are LOTS of screws. Using the included allen wrench is crazy. Once finally assembled, the lounge chair is very nice looking.

Rare Modern Bargain
from St. Louis,  Jun 7, 2006

I bought the Terrazza table and chairs last year and loved the great modern style - and the set has weathered well after being outside for a year now. This year I scoured the stores and the internet and finally decided to buy two Terrazza chaises. Though assembly took longer than expected - it was worth it! The chaises are georgeous - and look great with my mid-century house. And, they're comfortable too!

Beautiful, Practical Chaise
from West Coast,  Dec 19, 2008

We have had these Chaises for a couple of years and they're great - they still look new even in white. They went together as easily as anything and the metal and fabric are very good quality. No chaise of this type is hugely comfortable (but hey, what price beauty right?). There's not a lot of low back support, although it has the standard multiple back positions. The wheels are great and you can easily move this around. These compare to similar retail products we've seen at 4-5 times the cost. It you like modern, minamalist furniture but don't want to pay a fortune - you can't beat this entire line.

only OK
from Bel Air, CA,  Nov 20, 2008

This lounge is not comfortable, the seat is at an akward angle. Also the stainless bars at the bottom have started rusting. I redrilled the attachment points of the seat to attempt to correct, improved about 80%. Looks good, but???

Top Quality and Apperance
 from Naples,Fl,  Aug 12, 2008

This is a top quality chaise in every aspect, but beware of the unexpected total assembly time was three hrs per chaise! It was quite aggrevating but went together well after some hard work! Overall it's a deal you should'nt miss out on!

Great Looking but.....
from Lake Worth, Florida,  Jul 20, 2008

I PURCHASED THIS LOUNGE CHAIR ABOUT 1 1/2YEARS AGO. I LOVED ITS CLEAN LINES AND VALUE. A FEW MONTHS AFTER HAVING IT OUT IN THE ELEMENTS I NOTICED THE STITCHING THAT CONNECTS THE FABRIC AROUND THE METAL FRAME STARTING TO FRAY. NOW IT HAS ALL DISINTERGRATED . SUPRISINGLY, THE LOUNGE IS STILL INTACT AND USABLE. BUT ITS ONLY TIME WHEN THE FABRIC WILL FALL FROM THE FRAME.

Great for the price
from Los Angeles, California,  Sep 25, 2007

THis came very fast and was exactly the same as the pictures. If you are a handyman it's great, but if you're not...a pain to put it together.

Great Lounge ...Difficult to Assemble
from Miami Beach,  Sep 25, 2007

I purchased two Terrazza Lounge Chairs. Having read previous purchasers' reviews on Overstock, I was prepared to have difficulty assembling the chairs. And, yes, assembly was very difficult. The directions were extremely clear, it just required a lot of work and patience to tighten the screws which, on occasion, seemed too larged for the holes. My hands hurt for several days after assembling! BUT....the lounges look great and are very comfortable!

Terazza Lounge Chairs
from Vista, CA,  Sep 18, 2007

just like the rest, my review will be simple and to the point. 1. hard to assemble. different screws look the same initially. takes 2 hours to assemble one chair just due to the amount of screws! 2. love them now that they are built. enjoy them every day!

Terrazza Outdoor Lounge Chair
from staten island, new york,  Sep 2, 2007

As other members stated it did take a long time to assemble, however, its worth the time. I purchased two chairs. I am hoping to get terrazza chairs to put around my table to match. The construction is superior. I would highly recommend this lounger.

Worth The Struggle
from Palm Springs, CA,  Sep 2, 2007

If you survive the assembly process, you'll have a great place to recline and recover. This lounger is on the difficult side of the put-it-together yourself scale but when it's over, you'll have a stylish, sturdy and beautiful piece of patio furniture. After my initial purchase, I just bought two more so what does that tell you?

4 hours
from naples Fl,  Sep 1, 2007

OK - I gave up and did it in 2 sessions, but it is a real challenge to put together. The webbing on the seat is uneven (popped out on one side) and I can't figure out how to fix it, but it is not enough to have me send it back. Now that the pain of putting it together is over, it looks great!

great chair, a lot of work
 from Boston,  Sep 1, 2007

This is a great chair, very comfortable and great looking. It's also very easy to move around the yard because of the wheels. It did require several hours of assembly, though, and I had to re-do parts of it because I had not understood some of the subtleties in the picture instructions.

Stunning!
 from AZ,  Aug 29, 2007

The two chairs we ordered arrived as stated and just in time for our weekend enjoyment. We looked at so many chaise chairs and are so happy that we found the Terraza line. Its' modern look goes perfectly with our patio set we purchased last year. The chaise chairs are durable and well designed. We followed the directions and allowed the two hours for set up; and with a glass of wine and some music, the set up went by quickly. Well worth the price and our time.
