I am duly impressed with the walnut brown finish of these exquisitely designed chairs. I am an expert in all things walnut -- from veneers, to the wood, to the nut itself -- having grown up on a Persian walnut farm in Kyrgyzstan and now studying the sustainabilty factor of growing walnut trees for my senior thesis. As a result of my immersion in walnuts, I always prefer to decorate my house with anything having to do with walnuts. And on my professional opinion, these chairs possess the most beautiful walnut finish I have seen in this price range. Well, of course, I mean in today's economy, of course. In pre-revolutionary Iran, that is, before 1979, one could furnish a medium-sized mosque with the most beautiful walnut furniture for a similar price. Alas, that era is long gone. Nice set of chairs (bought 4). They look good and are comfortable to sit in. The assembly was not too difficult, although I wish the instructions were a bit better, especially warning about tightening too much. I almost ruined the bottom back of one chair while tightening -- caught my error just in time! I look forward to many years of good service from these stylish chairs.

These chairs are simply perfect. From the modern sophistication of their design to their hardy construction to the gorgeous contrast of the walnut finish and the fabric upholstery, these chairs are a massive bargain for the price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a basic, simply designed dining chair or side chair that can look casual or formal depending on the occasion.

I love the strong design of these chairs. The back in particular is simple yet visually compelling, thanks to the variable gradation of widths of the horizontal slats. Not only does it add a subtle gracefulness to the linear flow of the design, but it also adds a particular level of strength to the stability of the overall structure. It is clear that much consideration was given to their design, and it looks like I spent a lot more for them.

I shopped in furniture stores and online for our new home. I noticed a lot of furniture has thin, brittle-feeling wood but not these chairs - the wood feels very solid and it's thick. The chairs have some weight to them (not heavy though). The seats are a great fabric but look like they coould be reupholstered easily if I decide to match them to my color scheme.

Ordered 4 chairs total and one of the boxes arrived with a big hole (one of the chair legs was hanging out/exposed). I called Overstock immediately and they shipped replacements the next day. I've dealt with returns before but never for such a large product from an online purchase. The whole process was very simple and I'm very happy with the result.
