please explain texture of polyurethane. What it is comparable to?. Also what kind of assembly is required? I am a senior alone and need to know if it something I can handle. It seems to be quite small. I saw the dimensions but I'm still am not sure if it is a standard size like the chairs I presently have. Also, What colors are available and what kind of shipping do you offer? Is it in home? Thank you.

Polyurethane is like a Vinyl type product, Assembly is required, The item is only available in Taupe, which is pictured here, and it will be delivered to your front door, not in home.

I'm looking for a chair to sit on the covered deck of my boat -- we live on it in the summer. The area has a roof and removable windows/screens on the sides. Sometimes the area gets quite wet. Would this chair survive?

So long as you keep the chair cleaned off on a regular basis it will survive. Also keeping it covered when not in use is a recommendation.
