This Tapestry is just the right size to go with the rest of the paintings hanging in the room. It does not overwhelm, but is very eye-catching. I love to trace the intricate patterns on it with my eye. A true pleasure to look at.

There is a dark diagonal weave of a single thread in navy blue that cuts through the faces of the ladies and other light colors, i.e., the unicorn. The colors are ugly and the backing is too large for the tapestry so it bunches out over the edges. Having just received a tapestry I liked a lot, I am appalled by the horrendous lack of quality in this one. I bought it as a gift for someone who loves the Cluny Tapestries with the allegory of the unicorn, but I am too embarassed to give this to her. I would only hang it in a dark hallway at this point. Absolutely awful. I don't know that I will order again from Overstock. The quality of items has declined so significantly. I will definitely not rejoin Club O.
This is what I would a bit of rustic artwork. The scroll work is metal and has a handcrafted look and feel. I love it and am saving it as a gift for a friends birthday. I also purchaed the blue pitcher like this and have it in my office. I get compliments on it all the time so I'm sure my friend will like this piece, too.
For the money, it was a very nice purchase. It was exactly as described and had no problem hanging it.
