Sometimes when I buy things online without seeing them in person, I'm disappointed-but not this time! I love these fixtures. At first, I thought they were too big, but they look great on the house. My husband replaced three fixtures from the builder with these in 45 minutes. That's how easy it is to install them! They even accommodate energy efficient compact bulbs. The glass background is gold, not white, as shown in the photo. Also, the bottom of the fixture is open, so I'm hoping insects won't nest in there.

I loved this lantern as soon as I opened the box. It's bix and gives off a great ambiance of light. I bought it to replace the lantern that came with my house when I bought it which had glass sides which you could see the lightbulb directly.... it was hard to look into the direction of the light. This tannery outdoor light is large and has easy setup. I installed it in under 5 minutes once I pried apart my old outdoor light. The wiring is simple and anyone could figure it out.
