I bought this couch without having a review to go off of which made me a little nervous so I thought I should submit a review since the couch is more expensive than most on here. A little background- I moved to a big city and needed a couch that would fit through a smaller than average size door, since the first couch I had wouldn't fit through the door :(. I also needed a couch that would complement my "city size apartment", since I live in a 500 sq. foot apartment in San Francisco. The look was more important to me than comfort, so based on all of this, I bought this couch! The Pros: The legs screw off, which means it's easy to get through doors, and easier to lift. The width of the couch is long enough for me to sprawl out on, (I'm 5'5). The couch is pretty much as described and basically looks like the picture. I was hoping it would be more off white, but it's the speckled cream with a little hint of light brown. The fabric is heavy duty, not soft. It's sturdy, made very well, looks very nice in my apartment and fits perfectly. The color probably will go well with most things. I also like it, because if you wanted to change the decor in your house, you can easily switch out pillows, paintings, curtains, etc. It's neutral and will go with many things. I have a shag cream colored rug in front of it! The Cons: I'm having a hard time finding a con, but will say that if you are looking for a soft couch... this probably isn't it. It's more ascetically appealing than it is comfortable. I'm not a big TV watcher and I'm not home a lot so I decided to go for chic this time, rather than for comfort. I figured this much from the picture though, so no real surprise here. Not sure if I'll regret it. I figure I can throw my feather duvet down for nights where I want to snuggle up with a movie. All in all, it's just as described! Great quality, sturdy, quality fabric, so chic looking!! AND GREAT customer service!!! I should add this, because being new to the city, and being single, I was worried about what I'd do when the couch was delivered. A lot of times they will just drop it off on your curb and the delivery guys disappear the second you turn around to prop the door open... yah that happened once. I called overstock last minute prior to the couch being dropped off to ask if they offered white glove service and Stacey F. from customer service took such great care of me!! She emailed me to let me know she was looking into it, then emailed me back with a quote, which was VERY reasonable! The guys even installed the legs for me after getting it up to the apartment! Huge relief! Few things are worse than feeling helpless. Thank you Overstock for your outstanding customer service. It's why I keep coming back!
Don't buy for comfort. We were expecting a firm couch. This is likely one of the hardest couches I've ever sat on. Also one week after purchasing, the metal brads started falling out, they have long nails on them that are a huge danger to our three little kids. Also the threads on the couch are already fraying. I am currently talking with support about getting a replacement.
