disappointed sitting
i was excited to receive the benches. one of them was in fine shape, while the second one was a mess. missing hardware, broken leg, etc. it was shocking to see the condition of the bench. i don't know who packed the bench, but they sure didn't do a good job. i contacted overstock and was told that replacement parts would be shipped out in 2 days. suddenly, i receive an email telling me that i was receiving a refund. if i hadn't called, i wouldn't have known that the manufacturer was not going to send replacement parts. i guess a refund is betting than nothing. i would take a pass on this bench.

Beautiful piece, great price!
This bench looks much more expensive than the price! Easy assembly. The only surprise was how light the stain was on the 2 benches I ordered compared to the picture on the site. Still beautiful, but was hoping for a richer color. Looks great with some pillows for back support.

Loved this bench!
I wanted a bench for a small deck by my back door. I was looking for one that wouldn't overpower the small deck but would still look special. I loved the curved ends on this bench, and the great price, so I read the reviews, and decided to purchase. After reading the reviews, I was a little worried about the sturdiness of the bench and the finish. But there was no need in my worrying! The bench is beautiful, very sturdy (even in the center) and was simple to put together. I did take the advice of some of the reviewers and put a coat of tung oil on the bench. This darkened it just a little and gave it a more finished look. It rained the day after I put tung oil on, and the rain beaded up and didn't harm the bench at all. TO SUMMARIZE, I LOVE THIS BENCH - GREAT LOOKING W/CLEAN LINES BUT HAS THE LITTLE "EXTRA" TOUCH W/THE CURVED ARMS, GREAT PRICE, AND VERY STURDY!

great bench for the price
I bought two. One was perfect, the other I had problems with the big screws stripping out, but made it work. I have these out by the hot tub/pool for people to put their towels on and they've held up well. They're sturdy and good quality benches. I'd recommend to others!

Bench
Terrific buy. I found this last year online various places but always sold out. I was amazed to find it on Overstock and at such a good price. It's lovely, an oriental style, beautiful on my front deck. We'll see how well it holds up to the weather, but I'm going to put on a coat of polyurethane just for protection. The wood is really beautiful.
