These lamps are really better in person than the picture OR the description. The picture combined with the reviews of others is what prompted me to purchase them. The lamps are of a decent weight. The color is truly gold on the elephants and the shades have more yellow than the picture or summary. They are taller then how they appear in the picture as well. I LOVE THEM!!! All the things people wrote in the reviews were exactly WHY I bought them...they were tall, had more yellow in the shades, were heavy. Thank you to all who reviewed!! It is also true that both elephants face the same direction. So, plan on spacing them and probably putting at least one of them in a LEFT sided corner so they face out. You will be all set! ENJOY! Looks like you spent far more!!!
I was hesitant to order a lamp on line without seeing it first; but there was no disappointment here. The color matched perfectly and it is a beautiful addition to my study.
I ordered two of these lamps. They're beautiful. I could only give it four stars, though, because they are very pricey. The room I'm decorating has an "abstract circle" theme, which is why I caved in and bought them. Overall, I'm satisfied. P.S. The way it was packed was excellent. There was NO way they could break. I think I could have run over the boxes with my car and they would not have gotten damaged. :)
Okay...for any of you just thinking about this lamp...I'm here to tell you to "go for it". I am a home stylist as well as a realtor. I ordered a pair and I was so impressed!! I was going to put these in model homes, however, they are soooo nice that I have decided to keep them for my bedroom, dining room, or living room. Can't decide because they will fit nicely in any of those rooms. If you want to add a touch of elegance to your home, just purchase these and you won't be sorry. The best part about them is that they feel like a chandelier, but they don't have to be installed by electrician. Just take them out of the box, assemble (which was easy), turn on and start enjoyining them. They even include the light bulbs for you. I can't stop looking at them!! For now, they are on each side of my bed, but will play around with them in the dining room on a buffet as well. Well worth every penny!!
Loved this little lamp. Better quality than I thought it would be. Fabulous buy...probably will buy a better one.
