Solid and Very nice looking..... We didn't find difficult to assemble at all, shelves on ours are supported on sides and back, very sturdy.... Perfect condition and exactly what I was looking for, I was a little leary about ordering without seeing in person but not one bit dissatisfied!
The stand is good and solid. The clips used to hold the glass are a bit tricky to implement, especially the ones on the "cord management" piece in the back. Actually incorporating the glass into the final placement required placing the stand on its back and slipping the pieces in vertically, then getting help to bring the table back down to its feet. Make sure you adjust the tightness on the clips before you bring it back down. Overall it's got a very satisfying look and heft to it; however, when I received mine it had been damaged in shipping. The outer box had several gouges out of it, and the packing inside looked as if someone had let several wood rats loose. The table top was damaged on the top back corners: thumbnail sized chinks missing from the top coating. The "cord management" piece was bent and twisted. I almost sent it back, and probably should have on principle alone. I don't think it left Overstock damaged, and it's weird that UPS delivered it like that: both are respectable companies. It did sour my online experience though. It would have been easier to buy it at a store for the convenience of returning it immediately. Otherwise, my new receiver and tv look quite sexy on it. It's a perfect height for couch viewing.
The rear support/cable collector does not mount vertically, and so the top glass shelf does not reach the support's L-shaped padded support (meaning it is only supported on the sides, whereas the lower shelf is supported sides and back). It was pretty easy to assemble, and the color matches well with their other furniture of the same style.
