I got this set on sale and honestly for the price the product is awesome. I have been looking for a sofa and maybe a chair and all quality looking ones were about this price and over, plus with this you get the chair and ottoman. They are pretty comfortable, but you need some pillows for any long term lounging. Its looks really nice, the material is very soft and authentic looking, that is if it is actually vinyl. On Overstock it states its vinyl, but when it arrived and i was putting it together there is a formaldehyde warnings (used in treatment in leather) and also caring for leather tips in tag. Strange but either way it looks like leather and feels like leather so you and your guests probably won't know (if) its not. Putting it together I did it by myself, I'm very good at putting things together, but you don't need to be with this. Once you've done one its all the same. Some tips cause they left out somethings in the directions. 1. Beneath back seating piece there is a cloth attached with velcro, pull it down to get to screw holes. 2. Attaching legs, make sure the inside is at a 90 degree angle, before you screw in. The picture shows screw holes all on one side not true, you will see when you are putting them on it will look weird, the legs won't match. Anyway if your on a budget, this is great, so far durability has rocked (see reviews for individual pieces for more info they also have over 4 stars) except its scary with a cat, little puncture holes from the claws will not go away so be wary. Anyway we love it.

I gave away my old "real" livingroom set that was in the basement, this is a perfect replacement. It looks so good on my Pergo oak floor. It fits so well in a space that has many doors/windows. Can't tell it's not black in the sunlight, from afar. Easy to put together. I did it myself, with some begging and pleading(it got kind of heavy). I recommend reading and heading the reviewers of the other Uptown single peices, they had good advice-they made it possible for a 100lb. girl to put the set together within 2 and ahalf days with plenty of breaks! I really like the room on the couch- can't even touch both sides lying down. Firm but forgiving, I'm sure it would last a good long time for me and my 6lb. dog. Don't know how it will fair under kids, cats, and grown men. But for me it's perfect. Don't see the problem of the under 2" overlap along the front, the cushions are so tight together, they aren't moving anywhere.
