alright guys, I just received and put this bed together. The headboard/style of this bed is a thing of beauty. As far as the quality goes I would probably rate it 3.5 stars. The pieces of wood that was given to support the bed is very average. I purchased this king size bed knowing the support would be very average at best because I was going to reinforce this bed myself. If you buy this bed and ONLY plan on having a mattress on top of the bed frame I will let you know right now IT WILL NOT HOLD! I have a box spring to put on top of the wooden planks so it helps. I also took the liberty to go to **** ***** and bought about 6 planks of wood. With some minor engineering I drilled these pieces of wood in addition to the wood that came along with the bed and now it is rock solid! The wood and screws bought at **** ***** cost me about $$ but now I have a beautiful bed that will probably last forever. If you plan on purchasing this bed I highly recommend put additional reinforcement yourself. I can probably put about up to 5 people in this bed now.Read More
Shipping was quick... Bed looks nice... It's a platform bed but you can't just put a memory foam mattress on it it would start sinking between the 2x4 wooden bars. As well it is a little lower what I thought it will be so I just bough king box springs and now I'm happy and not destroying my memory matressRead More
We looked all over for bed frames with a good sized headboard and couldn't find any good ones under $2,000. This was a great buy for the price. It looks beautiful in our bed room, fairly easy to assemble. The only critical feedback, like the other reviews, is that you should get better reinforcements for the bottom of the box spring and mattress. It only provides minimum wood slacks for support of the mattressRead More
So I was looking at this one and the other one that looked identical but for $200 less, with 70+ reviews, and a bunch of bad reviews. I am glad i went with the higher quality one. Took me about 1.5 hours to setup. We really love it. And would recommend it. Make sure you set the head board up first then you do the frame. My only complaint is that some of the pegs that screw into the wood planks that you put the box spring on, you could screw some on really tight, others if you twisted to hard it would stop tightening and you could only get them to tighten a little. Love the free shipping, the thing weighs 180 pounds in two boxes, we had the freight delivery people bring it right into the room.Read More

best platform we purchased hands down. I weight about 200 lbs and my husband weights 328 lbs. We purchased this king platform bed frame one year ago and it's extremely sturdy. It looks expensive and classy... I love this bed-frame! No squeak noises, durable, easy to put together, beautiful, and very sturdy. My only recommendation is if you plan to place a memory foam mattress on this platform...you will need to buy a box spring or get large slabs of wood custom made to fit on platform before placing memory foam mattress. If you fail to do so your mattress will seep between the 6 planks of wood in the platform frame. I highly recommend this platform bed! You will not regret!Read More
Bed is nice and sturdy and appreciate the way the new mattresses fit in the boxed frame and they sit high. Didn't want a low bed. Love the moder look and how it will blend with any decor or color scheme for the future. Headboard is sturdy enough to lean against when sitting up. Arrived in good shape. Very pleased with the entire package...from price, delivery, to final set up.Read More
The overall construction of the bed frame is good and the bed looks nice however I would recommend purchasing a different set of slats for this bed as the ones that ship with this model are made of poor quality unfinished wood. The slats come with pre-drilled holes where you must insert some feet. Unfortunately the holes were not drilled properly and we had to use a dremmel to widen them so that the feet would fit.Read More

Will this bed work for an 11 in memory foam mattress?
Hello daleb100, this is not a platform bed, it has a 5 slats and system of 5 with support legs. However, memory foam needs more support than that, so you could use a box springs with your memory foam or purchase plywood or a bunkie board to lay over the slats for a firmer foundations for the memory foam. Other than that, it would work provided the dimensions are for a king size bed. We hope this helps, please let us know if you have additional questions.
Is there any confirmation of how much total weight this bed will hold.
Thank you for your inquiry. Overstock does not weight test Items; however this type of bed typically holds 400 to 450 pounds.
