This stylish queen-size poster bed makes a great focal point in a master or guest bedroom. The ornate and curving lines of the metal head and foot boards add a romantic touch, and the distressed bronze cherry finish complements any decor....more
Lovely . Excellent Value for the money and very stable. Ordered Sunday. Processed/Shipped Monday. Arrived Tuesday! I wanted something Pretty but not overly foofoo. Matched all the bolts/washers.. and quickly zipped it together, all tools I needed and parts were included in the box(3 boxes). Light enough for me to move easily into place! Really like how the rails "box" in the mattress.. my last frame constantly dumped the mattress on the floor lol. Bottom of the box springs sits 8 inches off the floor.
The bed is absolutely beautiful! We love it!
My husbandd recently had back surgery and our old mattresses just wasn't cutting it, so we decided to buy a new mattress. We also decide to downgrade from a king to a queen, so we needed a new bed.
It arrived in two different shipments, but within the scheduled delivery date. And, as with most of the reviews I read, the boxes were pretty tore up, but I received all of the hardware. We unpacked each box one at a time and found the bed had been packaged adequately. We were surprised, yet happy, that there were 3 metal slats that attach to the rails and that each had feet to attach to them. This adds extra support (7 total) to take on and distribute weight. We were also happy to find out that each post and rail foot came with a padded bottom so we did not have to add anything to provide scratch protection for our hardwood floors. The posts are metal, along with the rest of the bed, I knew this going in, but they look like wood. My husband and I layed out each piece, and everything was there. It took us about 30 minutes to get it put together. Once it was up, it was awesome. I measured the distance from the box spring to the floor and it is 9". I mention this because no where I looked could I find this measurement. To me, this is important when deciding to get a regular box spring or low profile, and for the overall distance of your bed to the floor. Because I didn't know this measurement, we ordered a normal box spring which sets our bed 30" off the ground. This okay, and I will get used to it, but really higher than it would have liked. This is our primary bed, we sleep in it every night, and it is very sturdy.
Overall, the bed is beautiful, well-made, and we are very happy with it!
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color of the bed is well represented on the site
Please tell us about the quality of the product. I was very impressed with the quality of the bed
How accurate was the on site description of the product? Okay. Would like to see that the distance from box spring to floor (9"). And that is does come with 3 metal slats, with feet. I looked for these things before I bought and found them on different sites.
Bed arrived in 3 boxes. All 3 had damage with one box being torn fully open. We were shocked to find all the parts still in the boxes! The bed is lovely, a nice centerpiece in a small room. It took my husband about 2 hours to put it together. A bolt was missing from a packaged set, but he found a replacement. The metal slats that attach to the support frame make the bed very sturdy. So far, no squeaks - or maybe the guests aren't telling me!
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The colors are as described.
Love the bed frame. The only problem we had was that it arrived without assembly instructions. A call to customer service solved that and we had the instructions e-mailed to us in a few days. I believe the only reason it took that long was because it was over a holiday weekend. I'm very happy with the purchase.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color was acurate
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very sturdy
How accurate was the on site description of the product? Description was relatively accurate, except when they spoke of wooden accent, they aren't actually wood but painted metal to look like wood which was a little confusing. But the description also listed the only material as metal- so that was accurate. It looks very much like wood both in the photo and in real life.
We LOVE this bed! I was never in love with an iron bed before but when I saw this one I really liked it. I reviewed several other queen sized beds as we were replacing our box springs and mattress and wanted to go to a queen. We have been very happy with our choice. This is so nice and tight fitting. It was easy to put together and everything fit just right. I couldn't be more pleased.
I was looking for a metal bed and kept coming back to Overstock.com. I saw the bed on other sites and Overstock had the best price which was well worth it. I have a smaller bedroom and it looks lovely in the room. I assembled it myself. It was easy and the instructions were clear, unlike some other pieces of furniture I have had to assemble. This bed replaced a wooden headboard and footboard. I love the way it looks.
Looks fantastic once it is assembled. A few things to be aware of:
1) Assembly is a two-person job that took my mother and I about 45 minutes. It would be almost impossible to do it alone as you need someone to hold one end while you screw in the other.
2) The bed only has three slats running horizontally, so you will also need to purchase a box spring to prevent the mattress from sinking between them. This will add about $200 to the price. The photo is a bit misleading because it seems to show the bed with just a mattress, when a box spring really is required for support. I'm still pleased with it but how hard would it have been to add one vertical slat down the middle, which would probably have been enough to support the mattress? In any case, I wish I had known this upfront so that I could have ordered it in advance along with the mattress and paid one delivery charge rather than two.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the legs look like wood but are actually metal. That doesn't bother me but it's another thing to be aware of. Also, the bed is fairly high once you add the required box spring. I think older pets would have some difficulty jumping onto it without stairs (although you might consider that a good thing, depending on your views of letting your animals share your bed with you).
I have a high profile box spring and a regular profile queen mattress....how high would this bed be off the floor?pols3 on Jul 19, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This QuestionThere are no answers to this question yet, be the first to answer it.
Yes, you will. It only has three slats running horizontally so I think a mattress would sag through them without a box spring. This is a design oversight in my opinion because if they'd added a fourth slat running vertically that would probably have been enough to support a mattress. It would have been worth it even if it had added a little to the cost as buyers could have saved on a box spring. Also, the box spring makes the bed much higher than it appears in the photo.pearlclutcher on Jul 13, 2014
Personally, I have a box springs on mine, it does make the height too tall for my Papillons to get on the bed without stairs. There are some cross supports, but I don't think I'd trust them to support a mattress.momdgaf on Jul 14, 2014
Yes, it has three rods horizontally, so a board or box spring is neededpinkieoutlinie on Jul 19, 2014
My boyfriend and I both sleep on this bed plus my mattress and box spring, making total weight around 500 lbs, with absolutely no issues. It feels as though it could hold much more. Hope this helps :)makat88 on Jul 6, 2014

I have a 4" low profile mattress on order and want to purchase a bedskirt ~ also would love to know how many inches from the base to the beginning of the headboard bottom - to see what depth mattress would look best or if I need to adjust the boxspring depth I am getting. Do I need to purchase a bed frame with this or do the box spring and mattress sit right on the rails?carendina71 on Jun 21, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I'm confused... if you buy this-you're buying a bed frame, so your question kind of makes little sense. You need a mattress and a box spring, which sit on this bed frame via the rails included with the frame. The item includes a headboard, foot board, side rails, four support rails that connect to the main frame rails (3 side to side, 1 top to bottom).socalshopper2008 on Jun 25, 2014
Ok, I have read through all he Q&A's. And, I still have a question? I have a standard memory foam mattress that sits on a box spring, they both measure 60x80. The frame of this Queen set is wider & longer. Does this adjust to fit the size of a standard Queen set? I don't want gaps or hangover.sissyseattle on Jun 20, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I have a standard queen memory foam mattress and box spring, it fits fine on this bed frame. There are small gaps at the head/foot--enough to make the bed really. The frame doesn't adjust, but should fit your box spring/mattress fine just as any other frame.socalshopper2008 on Jun 25, 2014
There is one metal slat running top to bottom, and three metal slats running side to side. All are connected to the main bed frame. It is very sturdy and not very squeaky/noisy.socalshopper2008 on Jun 25, 2014
I'm surprised by the other answer to this question as only three slats running side to side were included with my order. I did not receive a central slat running top to bottom and therefore had to purchase a box spring.pearlclutcher on Jul 13, 2014

Can this bed be used without a box spring? And can additional slats be fitted to be held by bed frame in order to place a mattress on top without a box spring?luiede on Jun 2, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I think it would be fine without a box spring. It is very high with a box spring, the slats are very well made.vlin on Jun 6, 2014
I bought this bed and asked in **** about this issue. The bed has three slats running horizontally, which I don't think would be enough to support a mattress without it slipping through (the sales rep at Ikea agreed, but of course they have an interest in selling stuff). They sell vertical center slats for support but could not guarantee they would work with a bed not bought from them. In the end, I ended up buying a box spring which added about $*** to the cost and about 9 inches to the height.pearlclutcher on Jul 13, 2014
I have an adjustable base that I would like to drop into the frame. Are the interior slats where the box spring/foundation would sit on removable? Or are they stationery/part of the support system?remsleepsolutions on May 19, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
They slip into a notch in the side rail and have feet at the center point. However, there is no lip on the side rails to hold anything. The interior slats carry the entire weight.taraleefarm1 on May 20, 2014
Are the interior slats where the boxspring/foundation would sit on removable? Or are they part of the support system? The slats fit into spaces on the side rails, so yes they are removable.satisfied12151j on May 31, 2014
I`am from Germany and I would like to know if the bed would fit to german inside dimension.
These are 62.99 x 78.74 inch or 55.12 x 78.74 inch.
Maybe you have some responses and experiences from customers from foreign country if the bed suits to their standards.

I've assembled the bed then got to the cryptic part at the end that says "All the Head Board should add Mounting Plate(s) if you need to match standard side rail frame(s)." Can someone explain what this means in plain English? Is this something optional? I just plan to put a box spring and mattress on it. Many thanks. I have this same question after assembling this bed. What is the answer?auramccracken on Feb 3, 2014
I came across that too, with a hmmm? After reading it again and again, the light bulb went on. If by chance I wanted to use the headboard and footboard to fit a "standard" size frame, the Mounting Plates would be needed. My bed is a Queen, so I left them off.wndrrgypsy on Jun 10, 2014

I purchased the Tribecca or LeAnn queen size, item 4513Q-1[BED], VENDOR PO 130449601, VENDOR SKU 12667946-000-000 and love it. I was trawling the internet for the coordinating bench seat and the only place I found it was on e-bay for the absurd price of $2,233.57. If you go into a search engine an enter "Lee Ann Beige Linen Cushioned Seat Bronze Iron Metal Finish Ottoman Seat" you will be able to look at it. It goes with the other coordinating items such as the dresser you sell on your web site.
