Great buy
Have three small children and didn't want to pay a fortune for something they will scratch and spill food on. They look great - same as they are on the site. I was able to put them together myself. Seats are nice and wide and the contrast of the dark on the antique white adds warmth. Started by ordering two to see how they looked - I have now ordered another two. Happy with purchase.

These chairs were exactly what I was searching for
The chairs matched exactly to the table I already had. The set was originally purchased through a department store who no longer carried the set. As the years went by, my original chairs didn't fair so well, so I was on the hunt for a new set of 4. These chairs were the perfect fit!

I love these stools!
I ordered these barstools for my kitchen island. They are very sturdy and quite comfortable. I was looking for something that was cottage-looking and these fit the bill. They were easy to put together, but when putting the seats on the frames it helps to have a power drill instead of the allen wrench provided. I really like the finished product.

look great at my breakfast bar
So I know these are counter height but I wanted them to match as we bought the table set as well. They actually look quite good at the breakfast bar even though they are counter height. Very nice quality for the price and easy to assemble.

Classic, sturdy, and comfortable
These are great chairs for the price. I was impressed with the beautiful dark wood seat and the beautiful criss-cross of the chair back. Things to note: 1) The seat is very large which is great for comfort but did cause the chairs to stick out a bit further than I thought they would from my counter. Not a major issue, but just something that was hard to tell from the picture online. 2) The other reviewers are correct in that these can be difficult to assemble. The instructions contain no words - only pictures - which can be tricky to decipher. The first chair took us approximately 45 mintues to assemble, while the second was much easier once we had the hang of things. But it was definitely a self-taught process. 3) The quality overall is very good. Our only disappointment was that a screw tightened udner the seat cracked one of the cross pieces of wood. While this did not impact the use of the chair, it showed a weakness in the under part of the chair. I love the chairs and am very happy with my purchase.

Ordered 6 chairs, each pk of 2 a different quality
If I had filled out this review after only receiving the first two chairs, it would have been 5's and excellent the whole way. I ordered 2 chairs first, and after assembling them and using them a little while, ordered 4 more. Of the two boxes we received on the second order, the first one we opened was a lesser quality than the last shipment. One of the back braided parts was broken. I wood glued it and moved on to the second box, as we needed these for an upcoming party and now I only have 4 of the old style of chair, and 4 of the new chairs. In the third box, we notice one chair cannot be assembled at all because the holes in the chair seat stabilizer are not lined up where the holes are drilled in the chair. We tried and tried, and could not make the screws fit the holes without the chair being lopsided. The second chair could be assembled if my son sat in the chair as we were screwing the screws in to attach the seat. I contacted Overstock, who required the chair be sent back to them since photos of the misaligned holes didn't show the issue. Naturally, I had thrown the box away by now, and had nothing large enough to put these two chairs into ship them back. Plus, I thought it was stupid to have the chairs shipped back, if I can't put them together, neither can they. Overstock did offer to pick up the chairs instead of me hauling 50 lbs of chairs to the UPS store, but that still doesn't solve the issue of not having a box to pack them in. Finally, they wore me down, and I told them forget it, I will keep the chairs and hope I can find someone to rig them so we can sit in them safely. But I will not buy furniture that has to be assembled from Overstock again.

Nice Chairs
I have looked all over for nice bar stools that are comfortable, the right color, and not upholstered. These are great. The only drawbacks are one of the 2 I got has a slightly shorter leg as it is not sitting level on the floor so has a slight wobble, The biggest drawback, same as these chairs in the table height, is there are no pre-drilled holes for the seat to attach to the frame. No guide markings even. You have to line it up yourself using something that will go through the frame as a normal drill bit the correct size is too short to go through the frame and seat. Very short screws also to attach.

Exceed my expectations
These counter height stools are PERFECT. They were an amazing price and really were exactly what I was looking for. The height is perfect for my kitchen island and they are very sturdy and just look so nice in our kitchen. So glad I found these!

Lovely stools
The stools look great and are very comfortable. They are rather large, quite deep so we have to squeeze past the stools when all the chairs are in use. One of the stools wobbles, until you sit on it.

Great stools especially for the price
I purchased two of these and then ordered two more. I put all four together by myself--I am a 78 year old lady--with absolutely no problems. In my opinion the picture instructions showed exactly how to assemble the chairs. I did put the seats on with liquid nails, instead of the screws, as someone else in their review suggested. The only complaint I have is with the color description. People, these chairs ARE NOT WHITE. I would describe them at least as antique white, but more accurately as ivory. I have white kitchen cabinets and they looked really bad (color wise) until I painted them white. If you don't have white cabinets, or if your cabinets are off-white, it won't be a problem. But, if you have white cabinets you will definitely need to paint the chairs white for them to look nice. In the end, I am very pleased with the chairs, but would have preferred not to have to paint them.
