I was torn between this and another similar futon which was slightly more expensive. The reviews helped me because they said the other futons legs broke easily. These legs are very thick and sturdy. Extremely easy to put together the unit. It took about a minute total. Functions very easily and looks great. We haven't had it that long, so the jury is still out as to how it will hold up to a bunch of BIG teenage boys throwing themselves on it constantly, but it looks very, very durable, so I have high expectations. Great way to add extra, comfortable seating. Still not sure of the comfort of sleeping on it since no one has yet. I chose an excellent rating so far because it's exceeded my expectation so far. Very reasonable price, very sturdy and attractive. Extremely easy to put together and work.

Returned it!! Thank you for O wonderful customer service. Took care of my issue and sent an RMA right away. Why no other reviewers had an issue with the STRONG Chemical smell?? My whole house stinks because of this futon. Its really small and the back is not finished - only a black lining. I can live with all that because you get what you pay for. Which the price was great, but the smell of chemicals in the plastic was AWFUL that I was afraid it was hazardous to our health.

Purchased this Item 12/29/11 and it took a few days to deliver. It is now 5/30/12, although still giving me something to sit on Its something temporary. Not comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. Not the bet place to take a nap as well, unless you just pass out drunk on it is better than jail. For people that have never been( concrete floors). Once you open it up for a nap you will notice this uncomfortable portion strait down the middle. its very noticeable, its like sleeping on a wedge. its soft on both sides but if in the middle you will suffer. NOT for people over 200lb. Save your money if this product is not for temporary use. Looks Great!!!

This small faux leather couch is perfect for a small office or any small place. If you are tall, the futon feature will not work all that well for you as a bed, as I am only 5'3" and I can just lie down comfortably. It is also pretty low to the ground so sitting may not be comfortable if you are lanky as well. I like how it came fully assembled and right to my door. We were able to bring it to my office in the back of our 7 seater SUV. It is very easy to clean and it's minimal styling makes it look a lot more expensive than it is. I've seen couches in stores for around the same price and this one definitely blows them out of the water in terms of ease and good looks.

this is great for a small appartment. I love the color I use it a a couch, i dont sleep on it. The smell if the faux leather is strong but I have had it for about a week and the smell has decreased. Im happy i bought it. :-)

Really? Someone could not look at the bottom of this item and see three holes each about 3" away from the sides and the 4th hole less than an inch from the side? The disk around each hole is only around 3 holes. The 4th hole, which I found by touch, is 2 inches outside the 4th disk. I did manage to screw the 4th leg in, but it doesn't sit flush because the edge of the leg is on top of the 4th disk. Very disappointing. I just hope it doesn't collapse when someone sits or sleeps on it.

Fourth visual hole with support disk is so far out of place it's useless. Found the 4th hole but it is completely unsupported by the disk but the disk does make it impossible to screw the 4th leg into the hole tightly.

I was looking for a small futon to fit into my computer room and this is just what I wanted. Some people complained that it seemed short, but to me, it is pretty standard height for a futon. It is pretty short. I'm 5'2" and I just fit. If your guest is very tall or likes to sleep spread out, this may not be the best option for them. It arrived on one piece -- all I had to do was screw the legs on -- which I really appreciated. It is pretty comfortable to sit on. I believe if I had any overnight guests, I would probably put an eggshell or memory foam pad on it, but I can't speak on that from any experience. I did let it down and lie down on it (it felt fine) but that doesn't compare to sleeping on it all night. It looks really great, though. Very nice for faux leather. It seems pretty durable, too. So far neither of my sharp-clawed kitties have managed to do any damage. Overall, this is just what I wanted for this particular situation.

I purchased this product for my son in his first studio apartment and he is so happy with it. Hi had a twin and the room was so small he couldn't walk around the bed and never have company/guest or visitors. Now he can put it into the couch position and have visitors. He is also tall and we were concerned he would hang off the bed/sofa but he does not. We were also concerned that the quality would not be good due to the great price and the quality was better than expected. We are happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

This is the second one that I bought through Overstoock, is confortable for a guest or kids bedroom due to the size. The firstone that I bought I used at the basement and the last one I bought it for the Nursery and fits perfect. Is very easy to ensamble, you can do it in 5 minutes and done. Great product.

Brought this mini futon for my living room just to have something temporary to sit on. The futon arrived damaged and there was a significant size cut on the corner of the futon. The futon also has a very strong cheap boot or oil smell to it that overwhelms the entire room. The smell also stays on your clothes when you sit on it. I returned the couch because of the damage but I have to say that Overstock's customer service was great and very helpful and refunded me my money quickly. I would recommend this futon for a teenagers room or a guest room just to throw your sweater on or sit on for a few minutes. Its not very comfortable to lay on not even to watch a two hour movie.

This is what I expected....by reading other reviews before purchasing. It is low to the ground. Which is what I wanted for in front of a floor to ceiling window for reading. Otherwise if someone expected to sit at normal height this would not suffice. For me this is perfect BUT Holy Smokes no reviews prepared me for the smell. It still has an order several weeks after setting up which by the way was super easy. Two of the legs were broke however made no differnce becuase of how it abuts a couch and table so no one will notice. Hopefully the smell will be gone soon....I am still glad I purchased this item.
