Perfect Electric Tea Kettle
from Lewes, DE,  Oct 22, 2008

It not only looks good but heats the water really fast. You only need to heat the amount you want even if it's only for a single cup of tea.

good kettle
from Boston, MA,  Aug 1, 2008

Electric kettles are hard to get in stores in my region for some reasons. The kettle first seems shorther than another on we had before but it is the same volume, it's just slightly wider.

Like it a lot
from San Diego,  Apr 4, 2010

I've never owned an electric kettle before, so the novelty of this product is all new to me. Reasonable price and it does what it says its supposed to... boils water quickly. It is a bit noisy when it first starts up but its not a big deal.

tea kettle
from Westville, Ok,  Mar 29, 2010

Our old tea kettle gave up and I couldn't find one locally. I am very happy with this one. One of the things I like is that the pot separates from the heating element and is easily transported to the stove to add hot water when I am cooking. The automatic shut off is nice too as we always forgot to unplug the old one. We are very happy with the T-fal tea kettle.

Good but Why Plastic?
 from California,  Mar 20, 2010

This is simple to use and heats the water very quickly. I think, though that it would be better for health in metal than plastic.

LOVE this kettle!
from Frederick, Maryland,  Mar 16, 2010

I used to own a similar T-Fal kettle....it was a smaller version....and after about seven years, it died on me. In my search for a replacement, I checked out Overstock to see what was available. As an avid tea-drinker, I had really enjoyed the quality of my previous T-Fal kettle, and decided to purchase this one. Not only is the capacity much larger (very nice if using for cooking purposes), but I love the various temperature settings (great for when the kids want hot chocolate, but don't want to wait 20 minutes for boiling water to cool). I'm thrilled with this so far!!!

cord and review
 from Kansas,  Mar 12, 2010

I'm writing this review because I saw that some people have written about the cord being too short. We just got it today, and my mom cant wait to use it! when we got it out of the box, and she was beginning to get ready to use it, I pointed out that the cord was very short while examining the base. when I flipped it over I realized that the cord was wrapped around the inside of the base and had a small plastic part that clicked to close and open to hold the cord in place on teh side of the base where the cord comes out. When we got the cord out it was about the length of any other appliances that uses electric power and am sure is the size needed to get it where you want it on your counters. We haven't yet used it YET, but I am sure my mom has it on right now as I'm writing this. From reading the other comments, I am positive that we will get GREAT use out of this product and I think that it is a great appliance!

great buy
 Mar 9, 2010

I love this kettle. It has made our life easier and safer. My 10year old can even boil water for her hot chocolate and my tea. It is a good size and temperature control gives you flexibility. It is powerful and quick and probably thats why gives some sounds while boiling. But i am very happy because i like it and its at great price.

Love it
 from California,  Mar 7, 2010

I got my tea kettle today. This thing heats up fast. It's easy to use!!! I can't wait to take it on a trip with me. This will be great for cup a noodle, cofffee, tea, hot coco, or instant oat meal. It's a bit big for traveling, but it's fine. My sister has a smaller one but she has to heat up a pot for every cup of noodle, so there is pros and cons. This one will make 2 or 3 cup of noodles at a time. Great!

Electrical cord is way tooooooo... short
from Brooklyn, NY,  Mar 6, 2010

Kettle itself is an excellent product. I am giving it only one star, because electrical cord is too short. I could not pull kettle away far enough from the wall outlet, so that it would not release hot steam right into my kitchen cabinet bottom surface. One may use this kettle only in the open space. If one has kitchen cabinets, steam from the spout will destroy them. I had to use extention cord ( as if I need extra cords on my counters!) Company manual explains - short cord protects children from tripping over it- or something like that... If I placed this kettle on the floor-I still could trip over the cord. May be company should make this cord even shorter? .. Nahhh. Just kidding.

I love this.
from Cincinnati, OH,  Feb 26, 2010

I was surprised by this purchase. It is plastic after all. But it is really nice. I had a stainless one with a switch at the bottom of the handle which I accidentally pressed when the thing had no water in it, and in less than 30 seconds, the thing died. I used a pot on the stove until I found this kettle. It has 3 heat settings. It has a stainless bottom and no exposed heating elements. It looks great and boils the water fast. The button to start is at the top of the handle. I like this kettle so much more than the stainless one that died.

I'm picky and this works great
 from Minnesota,  Feb 24, 2010

This pot has no faults....it boils a couple of cups of water in 90 seconds, it pours easily, operates simply without reading a manual, has no taste issues. The pot stops automatically upon boiling so when I forget, not a problem. I use it all day long to make tea, pre-heat water for stove cooking, anything that calls for hot water that I want fast. My only suggestion is that to remove minerals from the bottom after many uses, put 1/2 cup of white vinegar in it for 5 minutes (don't heat it), pour it out and rinse. Cleans up like new.
