Having had disappointing results with many toaster ovens over the years, regardless of price, I am very happy I took a chance on this T-Fal. It is a convection type which the name doesn't mention so that is a plus! Great quality and looks handsome but it does need a bit of counter space. Beware that if you price shop, you may not get the convection feature, so go ahead and order this one; you won't be disappointed. Tip: after plugging it in, let it "toast" twice with no food in it to eliminate that pesky factory smell; absolutely no smell or smoke after doing that! Makes best toast and bagels ever plus all its other uses.

This is a replacement for one that got fried in a power surge in our house. It is much nicer than our first one that we loved. Great toaster oven for the price. Holds lots of toast. Great for warming things.

This machine is wonderful. It is very easy to operate, allows for very precise control, and is terrific to look at. It is somewhat large, though, for people for whom counter space is limited. The only drawback, if you could call it that, is that the curvature of the top prevents using it to store or rest items (such as the interior tray when making toast, for example). But we are very happy with it and use it constantly.

Well, I loved the toaster oven until she gave up the ghost today. Dead after a short and bright life of eight months. When I first received the item, I was impressed by the engineering, sleek design, and the quality of the construction materials. However, the first weakness I did notice out-of-box was in the electronics for this particular oven. The control panel looked extremely low-budget, which made me think the power supply was also weak as well. This omen did hold true, connected to a known live power supply, there was no response from the LCD display or buttons. Unfortunately, the other merits of this product are negated by a component failure that renders the whole product unusable, which most likely can be blamed squarely on a sourcing/design issue for the control panel. Ugh! Other major brand companies realize this, and don't skimp on key components. I was under warranty, but will forgo a claim as a lesson learned due to the shipping, time, cost, and hassle of a warranty replacement that is doomed anyways. This is a design flaw period. Go with a major brand, they do better component sourcing, know there costs, and can provide timely support when issues arise.

I would recommend this product to my grandmother, very simple to use, saves on heating up the kitchen. We bought this for our college bound son, who loves to cook and make bagels.

I purchased this oven when my then toaster oven did not shut off. When found the entire wall and counter was HOT (rather scary). I have used this oven daily for a couple of years and just ordered one for my sister-in-law. It will bake using a 9" sq pan or the included pan. Has an auto shutoff.. I have not used the warmer so cannot comment on that. Great product do not hesitate to purchase.

I really like this product. It's quite roomy. I'm not very good about ready instructions so some of the extra wire racks have not been used. We use it to toast, bake, and broil. Great for meals for 2 people. Easy to clean - bottom surface slides out. Loving the digital timer - great to "set and forget." Comparable cooking times to our standard oven - the convection is nice because things cook more evenly. As previously noted, this is not a perfect toaster - it takes longer than a standard toaster and the bread is difficult to get just perfect on both sides... but it is fine for our purposes. The buttons still work well, but they do seem a bit "weak" and I can foresee them giving out in the future, but overall, everything is still working well.

this is my second Avante Elite. i love the size and the bread warmer on top.

I've bought several unsatisfactory toaster ovens over the past 5 years. This one is very good, and I will not replace it. Toasts well, broils perfectly. Haven't used it to bake as yet, however. I've had it at least 6 months now. Thanks Overstock!

It might be premature to rate this product as it is a Christmas gift for my daughter. It must be a good one as she is good cook and picked this particular one based on recommendations and viewing it in Good Housekeeping. Feature of upper warmer appeals to many.

The toaster oven arrived in a timely manner. It is very sturdy,and all the racks and pans which are included seem to be very durable. It is a little larger than I expected, but it fits fine. It toasts very well and I have also used the oven. It is noisy in the bake mode due to the convection feature. You also cannot bake something without entering a bake time. With kids in college, I am expecting to be using it a ot instead of the full sized oven.

One of the best toaster ovens I have ever used.I have baked and I toast quite frequently. Toast and hash browns come out nicely done. Its also very easy to use. We love it.

I am very satisfied with this product. Despite seeming complicated, it is very user friendly and has some great features. It is also very attractive and easy to clean. I am very happy with it.

We use our toaster oven as much as the microwave and our previous one was slow and inefficient. So far, this one is great! It cooks twice as fast (thanks to convection process) and does a beautiful job baking and reheating things. The microwave just can't brown or crisp baked goods, mac & cheese, fries, etc. like this. We love the warmer - my husband likes to have warm bread or rolls with dinner and often had to wait until the food was ready to use the toaster oven for bread. Now we can do it while using the oven for the main dish. Since it's new, we don't know its life span yet. But so far, so good.

I've had this toaster oven for a few months and so far so good! It does toast really well! The only complaint I have is that when the oven is running (since it's a convection oven) that the fan hums a little to loud and the oven vibrates a little but the food I cooked in it came out perfect! I would recommend this oven - a great value for the money!
