This Samurai Sword, was shipped with reg. service around Christmas and was received quickly. The Sword was great my boyfriend loved it and took it in to his Martial Art instructor to look over and they both agreed it was very well crafted!! If he only knew I paid so little for it he would have fainted... lol ya, overstock.com

Had a little black paint off the blade. Seems to be nicely crafted. I use it as a display piece. Only a little sharp. I fixed the paint with some permanent marker but did not care because of the price. I think it was a good value.

I have bought five of these sword and written at least two reviews prior to this one. Obviously, "Overstock" doesn't pay attention to details like that, because they keep pestering me to write a review each time, as if something had changed (?). Basically, one more time, I think this is one of the best deals on the market today. A remarkably high quality sword, in a very attractive, sturdy and useful wooden box, with all of the accessories of a $250 to $300 sword. Darn good deal.

I was expecting better quality from so called Japanese swords but low and behold the first thing I see is Made in China , and equally so the sheaths were cheap plastic, as were the flimsy hand guards, the only positive thing I can say about them is the blade is actually metal. The other people that 'Reviewed" are either flat out lying about the product or are completely ignorant to what a quality sword is supposed to feel and look like. In short its a cheap decoration that does an injustice to the Kenjutsu these swords claim to hail from.
