Swivel Bookcase Mirror

I've been needing a full length mirror for the longest time, and after doing a lot of research, I realized that buying a full length stand-alone mirror almost cost the same as this bookcase which is a LOT more practical. You have the mirror AND storage. All of my friends have seen it and think it's a really nifty piece that I bought. They did take their sweet time with the delivery (but to be fair it does say it'll take 1-6 wks), it came in one piece, the delivery guy was sweet enough to help us move into the bedroom and unpack it and put it in place (which actually they're not required to do). It came in one piece, there were a literally two "scratches" (for lack of a better word), but they were on the inside of the shelf so we didn't bother too much with it, either way we're stuffing those shelves with books. It is a bit wobbly on carpet, but we put so many heavy books on the bottom shelves that we're not worried at all about it tipping over or anything (then again we don't have any kids).To sum this up, I think this is an excellent buy and I definitely recommend it to anyone!

it is looks even better then the picture...holds a nice amount of books. The shipping took a little while to get here, but other then that, it was already assembled and we love it!

We ordered it for a corner of our bedroom and it worked out wonderfully. It is great with storage behind the mirror. Best of all, it came assembled and was easy to take out and put in place by myself (petite woman). My only concern is if you have children, you need to be careful about its placement.

I purchased three of these bookcases early this year but waited to submit a review as paying this much was a stretch and I wanted to make sure that the value was there. It is, these are quality hardwood furniture with a deep expresso bean finish (almost black) that accent my living room beautifully. I downsided into a townhouse recently and desperately needed bookcases. The mirrored reverse side faces the room, hiding my clutter and providing reflected light in my small space. The mirrors are good aspect with minimal distortion so I get a realistic full-length reflection and the swivel lets me adjust the type and amount of light that's reflected. The bookcases arrived quickly without damage, a good thing since the shipper delivered into my carport when we weren't home. They are very heavy and difficult to move once unwrapped so you may need two people to manuever them around. We tried placing them in several different locations before settling on both sides of the fireplace. They hold all my cookbooks (lots!) plus several baskets & bowls that I used to store on top of my kitchen cabinets where they got dusty and were hard to reach.The only thing I missed when considering whether these were right for me was that you can't place them too close together or too tight to the wall or they won't swivel.Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. Since I bought mulitples, it paid for me to join the O Club for this purchase.

I was very excited about this piece. It is beautiful, and I can only imagine what it would have looked like had I not had to piece it back together with half a bottle of wood glue.The purchase process was very simple, and even the delivery company was very easy to deal with until I received the piece of furniture. It was my mistake for signing for it before I opened the box (but who wants to keep the delivery guy waiting while you open this gargantuan box in your tiny apartment after you just paid him $40 to lug it up 6 flights of stairs with you, and you have to rush back to work).Once I opened the box, I discovered that the bookcase was in about 4 different pieces. Luckily for me, the mirror was not broken, and I was able to glue all of the shelves back into place, as well as the piece that splintered off of the top, and the entire unit to the swivel base.A call to the delivery driver was not returned, and overstock's policy is that if you sign for it, it's yours, so OPEN the box before you sign for it. Even if you refuse the delivery, I believe you have to pay for the return shipping.Would have been a very nice bookcase had it not been broken.
