SwissLux Euro Flex Full-size Foundation and Frame In One Mattress Support System

I bought this product because my daughter graduated from a bunk bed to a floor bed. Since the bunk bed had no box spring, I found myself looking for one at overstock. I saw this product as a good alternative to the standard box spring. I was concerned it would not be comfortable but my daughter assures me it is. My husband did break off the head of one wing nut but fortunitely it was already tight. I definitely am happy with my purchase.

Frame is well designed but very poorly manufactured. It was missing 2 wing nuts (supposed to be 28...we got 26.) . Also, 3 of the wing nuts broke (the winged head is just press fit and comes off, rendering the bolt useless and making it hard to get back out.) Also, the threads are metric so Home Depot does not have replacements if they break. Most of the threaded holes were poorly threaded..we had to re-tap about a dozen of them. Once together (definitely required tools...contrary to "no tools needed" claim) the bed stand was actually quite nice. Headboard/Footboard attachment plates are useless: The are so small and so thin that any footboard (let alone a headboard) would be very poorly secured. There is no fix for this. so if you are planning on using a footboard that relies on the frame for stability do not buy this frame. Note too that it includes parts that will attach EITHER a headboard OR a footboard--they only include hardware for ONE attachment. All in all, beware: Nice product, poorly made in China so expect some hassles putting it together...but once you're done, it's fine. Don't plan on bolting a headboard or footboard to it.

I purchased the SwissLuxe EuroFlex foundation in full-size for a guest bedroom. The product arrived packed in a shipping carton, followed by an interior product carton, followed by shrinkwrap packaging around the frame. Although the frame came with instructions, assembly was a cinch and light enough for one person to manage. Place the two frame pieces together; use wing nuts to lock the legs into place (thereby securing the frame). I gave this product 5 stars because it is beautifully machined -- screw holes match in all pieces; edges are all polished smooth; legs are "double-jointed" meaning the feet can be height adjusted -- useful for bedrooms with hardwood floors -- and the legs can be adjusted up/down as well. Moreover, the frame includes a non-slip covering that keeps a mattress from sliding, extra wing nuts, plus hardware to mount a headboard! It's a solid piece and I couldn't be more pleased (my guests echo that sentiment). Well done, Overstock!
