The lamp is overall a great value. I've looked everywhere - online and in stores, but can not find anything close. There are only two negative things I can think of : 1) The shade is not the color it looks in the picture. It's brown/taupe, not cream. 2) Two screws that come with the package to fasten the lamp are too long. In the same hardware package, however, you can find two other screws to replace them, and it will work just fine. These are not big problems, really, but rather things you ought to know before buying and assembling. It may not affect your decision at all depends on your needs for the shade color. We bought two of these and although the shade color came as a surprise, the lamps still look good in our bedroom. The swing arm is just perfect for reading.

I bought these for my master bedroom because I loved the look and anything that has flowers on it. I was a little dissapointed that they come not fully wired (you have to connect the plugs to the lamp wiring. Fortunatelly, we have a friend who didn't mind installing them for us during a brunch Sunday and they look great after being up for about two years now (I think).

I am not sure I installed it properly. I think thats the only problem cause it keeps fipping over. Quality is quite nice and it looks great

I purchased 2 of these for our new-addition bedroom. I was quite impressed with them. You don't see these everywhere. I decided to replace the existing lamps in our present bedroom with these and order some more for the new addition. However, they are no longer in stock. I waited too long. I hope they are restocked.

I purchased 2 lamps and they were exactly as expected. I did shopping in the brick and mortar stores and similar styles were way out of my price range. I did shopping in the discount stores and although the lamps were price matched, the styles were extremely limited. You had to attached the plug, which makes sense, so you can use the tube that hides the wire. Only drawback that I can see is that you would have to have some knowledge or experience in attaching the plug.

I purchased two of these lamps, one for each side of our bed. I installed them while my husband was at work. I used the self drilling type drywall anchors, instead of the plastic ones that came with the lamp, as I think they work much better. I had no problems understanding the directions. Both were up on the wall within an hour. They look great! We are very pleased with the quality of them. Thank you Overstock!

Just received my new sconces and was very impressed with the quality. Matches perfectly with my bedroom scheme. It does require some assembly and because of that my husband told me that we would work on it this weekend. Well I became impatient and I assembled them myself. The instructions were not very informative, but it was very easy to figure out. I was concerned with hard wiring it myself but it turned out to be the easiest part. I would highly recommend this product especially since the price is reasonable. FYI: The "cream" shade is not really light in color. It is actually more like a tan and the shade was much larger than what I imagined it to be.

Very nice lamp.good construction,.... directions not very good... somewhat difficult to asemble....by trial & error,I figured it all out..... had to trim the wire to a point V shape in order to help feed it thru the tubing... Finished product looks great in my family room...

These lamps are beautiful and the quality seems to be decent but the hardware that is included to mount the lamps doesn't seem to be the right hardware. I have made two trips to the hardware store and need to go once more (at least) to replace the pieces it came with. The metal wall anchors that are included to mount the faceplate are not the best. I used plastic wall anchors that were included but were supposed to be for securing the cord to the wall for the faceplate instead. I contacted customer service regarding it and they tried to help but ultimately I ended replacing the pieces that were inadequate myself. I consider myself fairly handy for a woman; most men probably won't have any issues with this, but I sure did!

I love this lamp! I purchased 2 of them, they are beautiful and of exceptional quality! The most beautiful and best value I could find any where! After reading the reviews for this I knew this was the one I had to have! Thanks Overstock.com for an awesome product and great savings!

I received these lamps today and when my husband went to install them he found that the light socket on one was broken. It didn't seem like it was worth it to return it for this minor thing, so he replaced it. Then when he went to attach the lamp shade the decorative knob that is soddered on to hold the shade snapped off! Now he is totaly disgusted and doesn't want to install the other one since they really are junky in quality. While both problems are relatively minor, it's still annoying to have to repair something you just purchased. We have never really had much luck with anything we have purchased from Overstock so I'm not really sure while I continue to do so. I'm waiting on a duvet cover to come, so we'll see about that. The look of these lamps is exactly what I wanted, but again who wants to repair something brand new?

I had looked everywhere locally for swing arm lights for our bedroom with no luck. These look PERFECT in our room. The taupe color of the shade matches the colors in the room. The hardware included was ample to finish installation. The construction is very heavy duty. We use low-energy CFL in them equivalent to a 60 watt bulb. They create perfect lighting to read by. They were easy to install. It only took about 60 minutes for both. We couldn't be happier!

The arms are not terribly strong but the lights are pretty and function fine.

The lamps are pretty and look great as a replacement to the ones I had prior. The screws did not fit and my husband had to saw the length off several of them, which was a pain. We installed over the plates that were on the wall, so that might have been why the screws were off. Once up, they added a nice touch to our decor and the light they give off is soft yet nice for reading. I am very happy.

The lamp arrived in perfect condition and was fairly easy to assemble. The only problem was pulling the cord through the tube, but we figured that out quickly. Works beautifully and is an excellent value & quality compared to the others we found.

We installed these lamps in our bedroom, and they add so much to the decor. The one on my side would not install flush with the wall, but it doesn't cause any problem and still looks great. The ability to move them directly overhead or to the side is a plus.

The lamps came quickly and were in perfect shape...really pretty. My husband was very impressed with the engineering of the lamp and assembly was fairly easy, although it was a bit difficult to run the cord through the tubes. (you need to run the cord through one section of tubing at a time or it won't work!) But that was really the only difficult part. Other than that, they were mounted quickly and look fantastic. We bought 2 for bedside lamps in our guest room and they look as good or better than other lamps I've seen for double the price.

Received right away, easy to assemble and all necessary (and extra) hardware included!
