Firm sofa bed -- good quality
Very firm sofa bed. Would have given it 5 stars if there were more positions for the back cushion. You are either at a 90 degree angle or down to a 45 degree angle. Would be great if there were something inbetween.

Poor directions
The instructions were sparse, black and white and barely legible with know written instructions. Even seem to have an extra leg that doesn'tmatch up to anything?

Sofa is of poor quality
I ordered this sofa in October '11. It arrived quickly and was delivered into my apt. by the freight company without issue. I put it together easily with a drill, which was only needed to secure the feet into the plywood base. I was surprised by the non-taut plastic sheeting on the back of the sofa and by how narrow the seat is. By Christmas, two of the springs have popped and one of the arms doesn't descend 100%. Additionally, one half of the back has trouble sticking in the half-reclined position, which is needed because the bench (seat) is very shallow. You can imagine the comfort level with a shallow bench, a sunken seat, and a non-reclining back. This sofa, which I purchased for my 1 br apt. would be suitable as a sofa/futon in a spare room, as a bench in a hallway, but not as the main attraction in a living room. At $$$$, I expected at least slightly better quality. The warranty only covers 30 days.
