These are cheap Chinese furniture, but as far as cheap Chinese furniture goes they're pretty good. The pillows take a while to break in but once they do it's reasonably comfortable. The material is so far holding up to my cats' claws. The protective fabric that attaches to the bottom of the couches has a hard time staying on, but I don't see much point to it anyway so I just do without it. The manufacturing tolerances on the legs could be a bit better; the center legs on the longer couch are just a smidge too long. Not a big deal if you have it on carpet, but on hardwood it means you'll have a bit of adjusting to do if you don't want it to turn on a dime (which is not generally something you want a couch to do). Do expect your home to smell of formaldehyde for a while after unpacking these, though - it takes a while to outgas. Also, for some reason there aren't any assembly instructions included with the smaller loveseat, but there are ones for the larger sofa. The instructions aren't very detailed, but they do have the key information about which way the legs go on. So put the larger sofa together first.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? About the same
DO NOT BUY! This set looks nice, but it is so horribly made I would really suggest you look elsewhere. To start, the color is not dark gray. It is a dark blue that looks almost like denim. Second, the cushions are hard as a rock and the supports underneath came all split. This is literally particle board with fabric stapled to it. If you lift the cushions, there are elastic bands running horizontal. That is the support. Mind you, held together again by staples. Not kidding. I ended up returning this. The only thing that was positive about this purchase was overstocks amazing customer service.
