I purchased both the sofa and loveseat slipcovers in this style. I had slipcovers previously and hated how long it took to tuck it - everyday. So, as far as fit goes - fantastic. They were easy to use and the first week everyone thought I had new furniture. But after the first week I realized that the cat hair and fuzz from clothes got stuck in the waffle weave and could not be gotten out, even with vacuuming. But the worst part of all was the fact that after the first 1 or 2 weeks the fabric started to pill and get horribly ball-y. Yuck. They looked really bad - the pilling was all white and fuzzy - on a red couch. They looked terrible and I am absolutely returning them - today!
Love the cover. It fits great. I threw out my other cover that was made of cotton and always looked messy. It is a heavy sweater stretchy material that stays in place. I got the "t" cushion version and it fits my large sofa exactly. I did not have to do much tucking. It was on in 5 minutes or less. I really like this part! It always looks great. My son had 3 teenage boys over to play video games for 4 hours. The cover stayed tucked and looked great the next morning. I have no complaints I would surely buy this again. Maybe I should buy another color now to change every season....
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? The color is chocolate brown. It looks just like the picture.
- How is the quality of the product? It is a nice thick sweater knit material. It fits really nice and stays in place !
- Did the description onsite accurately describe the product? The description is accurate.
I totally expect difficulty in installation - to my surprise it was the easiest! Buying the correct cover is key but overall the product lived up and exceeded my expections. Can't wait to buy another for a color change. Love it!
It is a very good quality slipcover. I found it in a department store and they were charging$50 dollars more than Overstock. It was delivered in short time and fits our sofa very good. Every one that sits on it has given a complement on how nice and soft it is.
The cover looks wonderful when it is freshly tightened. After being sat upon it requires more tucking and tightening. That being said it stays in place much better than previous versions that we have tried. The material was very stretchy, but a bit more lightweight than I had expected. Overall it has improved the appearance of our couch at a much lower cost than replacing the couch.
The cover fit great over my very big couch, once I had everything tucked, it was tight. I was a bit disappointed about the thickness of the fabric. It is very thin, and I suspect it will not hold up to the constant use of our couch. Also, after only 1 week of sitting, little knubby things are forming all over the spaces that are being sat on. It also catches every hair in the house, not recommended if you have a long haired dog like we do. The color is great, and I ordered a matching cover for our Wing Chair, which is not used much, so it looks nice.
i purchased the cocoa, which is a dark chocolate fabric with a soft chenille feel. I have a black cat so no issues with cat hair. It takes about 15 minutes to put the cover on well, and is good to have another pair of hands to help do it, but i am very pleased with the overall result, much better than the non stretch version, you do need to stuff the back of the sofa with a little foam (I saw another reviewer use rolled up newspaper) to help keep the front tidy. I am very happy with this item!
Admittedly, this is my first sofa slipcover. "Slipcovers" to me mean those awful plastic things of eons past. I have a big leather sofa that although still comfortable, was literally an eye sore. Faced with the prospect of an army to help go to the dump, I decided this route instead. I looked at ALL the slipcovers and reviews before picking this one. In all honesty, it's not a 'perfect' solution, but I loved how it fit, went on and the finished look. With any slipcover, pets and horseplay etc, I would imagine one gets used to 'making' it over and over again, like a bed. Quality of this cover is great and I'm sure it will wash just fine when the time comes.
Despite careful measuring, repeated several times, this slipcover looks awful. To be honest I am just avoiding the inevitable in buying a new sofa. Doesn't fit well at all on my T-cushion couch. Sorry, I just can't recommend.
I've used slip covers in the past and always struggled with tying down the fabric "just so" to make it look good and then in 2 minutes it looked like a elephant sat on it. This stretch material looks much more sleek and it keeps its shape so much better! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to consider slipcovers.
We have a sad couch, with reclining seats, which needed to have its life extended for several more years before we would be able to buy a new couch. Therefore, a slipcover seemed to be our only option. We're obviously losing functionality by going with a slipcover - as the recliner ends won't really work. We were hoping the stretchiness of this cover would allow reclining, but it pulls the cover out of alignment so severely that I don't recommend it. Also, I am not a fan of synthetic material, therefore, the fact that this slipcover is polyester and spandex does bother me. The benefit of this is that the couch really retains heat. As a matter of fact, it does this so well, all of our cats can be found lounging on it throughout the day. Thankfully, their hair is easy to remove. We ordered the Sage and it was much darker than the sample pictured. Additionally, the "pattern" in the fabric is black, not cream - the sample couch, shown in blue, is much more representative of the pattern coloration than the swatches shown below. Lastly, I am not impressed with the fit. There are gobs of extra fabric that just doesn't stay tucked in. The fabric on the seat is constantly coming up and tugs on the arms. I've seen it recommended on other websites to push the fabric down into the crevices with the viscous pipe insulators you find at the hardware store, in order to keep the covers in place. We will try that. Overall, I felt this product was over priced for the quality and functionality. However, Overstock does offer a lower price and cheaper shipping options than the manufacturer's website.
This product is a great value. I think I just have too much expectations on slip-covers. This particular one is the best I have found but it still wrinkles up.
Not a perfect fit if the arms of your t-cushion sofa slope up to the back like ours. Possible to tuck in the top corners to look nice. Looks great on our camelback. Stays tucked fairly well. Biggest negative for me is that I had to spend a lot of time with a needle pushing in many large pulls/snags straight out of the package. Given the number of pulls, I was worried that cat would destroy the material, but it seems to be tolerating her. In the end, we're satisfied with the transformation of the sofa. The fit on a non-standard sofa and rich olive color (textured w/ a small black pattern) are just what we needed to update our space. Thanks.
I am enjoying my slipcover. It has changed the appearance of the whole living room. It was very easy to put on the couch ... I read other reviews and thought the stretch seemed easier to put on. I have never used slipcovers before so this was something very new ... but my couch was in good shape, just tired of the plaid! The cover is stretchy and so after sitting on the couch it does need adjusting, but that is a small price for the difference in appearance. I have added some great pillows and the look is great. I am very satisfied.
I saw this slip cover on another retailers website for about 40.00 more. I ended up buying it here and saved a bundle on two! They were exactly what I wanted..the quality was great!
I love the product and the value, very easy to use and i like the appearance compared to the traditional casual look of older style slipcovers.
Great product. Wish I got is sooner. Worth the $$.
