Big!
 from Oregon,  Jan 18, 2008

I like the fabric, but they are BIG on my chairs. I'm having to custom fit them to the chair (sewing the back and folding and sewing the arms so they look neat). The fabric doesn't wrinkle and is heavy (not as heavy as real upholstery fabric, but not as light as a cotton). If you do buy these, just figure you will have to do some light sewing to get them to fit just right -- folding only takes you so far.

Excellent

Great Product, if I had more than one wing chair, I would cover them all. Thanks for an excellent cover.

Slipcover
 from Houston,  Aug 12, 2007

This slipcover didn't really fit my traditional wingback chair and I've had to do alot of manual alterations to make it look presentable. Althought the fabric is of good quality and once it's PAINSTAKINGLY tucked and pinned, it's a nice piece. Double check all your measurements and prepare for a patient install for this one to look good.

Nice but big
 from SC,  Apr 26, 2007

I was pretty happy with the chair cover, but it did not fit my wing chair, which is a Queen Anne style, very well. It would easily fit a fairly big wing chair. Luckily I could "take it in" and custom fit it to my chair. The quality of the material was quite nice.

Slipcover
from North Carolina,  Dec 6, 2011

Slipcovers are never 100% and my chair was a little small for the cover I ordered. It was an OK fit so I kept it as a stop-gap until I can get the chair recovered.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color was a little off
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Did not fit my chair well
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? OK description

Nice but big
from North Shore Boston,  Sep 25, 2009

I ordered two of the chamagne slipcovers for mixmatched wing chairs. The slipcovers are very nice for the money, but were way too big for both chairs, one of which I thought was a large chair. Although it says line dry, I washed them and put them through the dryer. I figured they would shrink, being mostly cotton, which they did. Now they fit better, but will still require some tucks and maybe pins. I may shorten the skirt on one. They look like slipcovers not upholstery (which is what I wanted) but are very attractive. The fabric is heavy enough that the hideous upholstery on one of my chairs doesn't show through at all. I gave a 4 overall rating because they are much bigger than any other Surefit slipcovers I've ordered for the same chairs.

Good slipcover for limited use
from Bergen County, NJ,  Nov 11, 2008

I assume you could iron this slip cover, however, I used Downy Wrinkle Release Spray to get the wrinkles out and it looks 100% better. I do find that due to gravity, not even use, the slip cover slowly begins to sag in places. So once a week, I reinforce the corners and re-tuck in the sides. That might bother some, especially if this is to cover an everyday chair. I really don't use my living room, except for company, so this chair works in having it there with just a throw pillow on it.

best for bigger chairs
from Schenectady, NY,  Aug 20, 2008

The fabric is pretty and seems like good quality, but I haven't washed them yet, so I can't be sure. The color was well-described and worked well with our decor. They would definitely be better on a chair larger that the trimmed down wing chairs I needed to cover. One of my chairs is T-cushioned so the cover fit OK right away, the other isn't so some creative tucking adjustments were necessary. Lots of tucking of excess fabric was required for both, but they look good in our casual English-style front parlor--not too formal due to the slightly baggy look. I think I might make some permanent alterations. All in all--still better on the wallet than custom-made slipcovers or re-upholstering. These were the second set of slipcovers I tried from Overstock--the previous set was nothing like the quality of this one and the price was only slightly higher.

Chair Cover
 from WV,  Jun 27, 2008

This is quality workmanship and materials. I am a little disappointed in the fit however. I have Queen Anne chairs (winged) and saw this cover as the only one that would fit. This cover is more suited for a larger wing back chair. I am doing some alterations to make it work as I love the fabric and the possibility of a great look when it is finished. I would highly recommend this product but make sure you do your measurements carefully and remember Queen Anne's are more slender made.

Beautiful Slipcover But Hard to Use
from North Carolina,  Mar 14, 2008

The value was very good. The material was very well-constructed, but there is no way to attach it to the current chair nicely. No matter how much you adjust and tuck in, the slipcover still does not look very good.

This is the second cover I have bought...my cats love to claw my expensive chair... It was a little tricky to put on the first time. The second one was a breeze!! I love it and will buy again, when my cats kill this one.

Quick Makeover
from Los Angeles,  Jan 1, 2008

This cover gave a brand new look to my Moms old wing chair. I purchased the burgundy which actually matched some throw pillows I already had. It came which instructions easy to read and once it was all tucked in it looks great. The only problem I would say is after someone sits in the chair you need to re-tuck again to make it look like it is not a cover but part of the original chair uplostery. But still nice for the price.

great va;ie
 from Denver,  Dec 20, 2007

I had a sheet over my wingback chair, now it looks great... There is some tucking to do but this isn't a custom job so I expected that. The chair has new life.I bought 3 pieces of this set and my livingroom looks great. The length was perfect though the arms of my couch weren't as filled out as the covers. I bought the sage green and it has a sheen which lightens the color when in a sunny room. So it's not too green. It's a lovely color and looks like the pic. Even my daughter keeps commenting on how nice the livingroom looks. I had sheets covering my furniture before to protect things from my cats. This makes everything match.Great value for the money. Well made. The T-chair slipcover is too large but with some tucking it works and to have everything matching is great. I would buy this set again.

Wing Chair Slipcover
from North Carolina,  Dec 7, 2007

This cover was designed for a bigger chair than mine. I wish it had fit! The fabric is good quality, just too large. Hopefully the return process will be as easy as everything else.

I LOVE my wing chair slipcovers. The fit was a little loose on my small wing chairs, but with a little effort and a little creativity I managed to make them fit and they look fabulous! My sister thought I got NEW chairs! Wow! What a bargain!

Good Buy
from Los Angeles,  Oct 31, 2007

The fit was perfect as it was for the sofa cover I bought prior to the wing chair cover. The material is heavier than most slip covers so it stays in place better than ohers I've tried. Color is a little darker than expected, but pretty. No regrets.
