I purchased 2 covers & they fi the chairs very well. The material is comfortable & looks nice. Good buy for the money.
I bought the butterscotch color slip cover and really like them. I am living in a college apartment and the covers fit my budget and what I was looking for. The butterscotch is a little on the yellow side, but overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.
I purchased the khaki colored cover and used it over a dark colored corduroy chair, and I was very pleased that it was thick enough that you could not see the dark fabric underneath. Unfortunately the cover is meant for a chair with wider arms than the one I put it on, so there's a lot of extra fabric around the seat and arms, but it's pretty tight on the back. I think with some clever folding, tucking, and a few straight pins it will hold up nicely. The material seems sturdy so I'm generally pretty happy with it. One thing should be noted is that the stripes are much darker and more noticeable than they appear in the photo, and the khaki is darker in actuality than the photo, almost as dark as the butterscotch looks.
I was really surprised how easy the slip cover was to get fitted on my chair. Once on the chair, there are some wrinkles at the back of the arm that I couldn't smooth out,, but I am well pleased overall with the cover. The material seems a little thin but is very usable. The color was true to my computer view, and I like the casual look of my chair with the new cover.
An inexpensive nice way to cover wear and tear and some cat claw marks in a solid chair and have it look good.
The order we placed for our chair cover arrived very quickly and was correct, packaged well agains possible damage and proved to be just what was stated. We are pleased and will contionue to use Overstock.com
When they arrived, I thought they were even nicer than I expected. They have a subtle stripe which makes them look more expensive. They do go on easily and are very nice once they are all tucked in. I washed them so they would be soft and they did shrink a little, but they still reach the floor, so I guess they were allowing for shrinkage when they made them. I was going to iron them, but they look more like vintage linens once they're washed and did not need ironing since I put them on immediately. I ordered two in order to make my wing chairs match (Which I got for $10- each at the thrift store) But they look like expensive chairs now, so don't tell anyone!
Since it is hard to see the stripe pattern clearly on the website, I didnt know till it arrived. Though the style name is "Hamilton Stripe Wing Chair Slip Cover". I expected to be a very subtle stripe like a 'shadow strpe', but in reality, it looks cheap. The cotton fabric qualtiy is very coarse to the hand feel. I guess since it was on sale, I keep it anyway and not waste my time to pack it and return it.
We inherited an "early relative" wing chair that just needed some new life breathed into it - at a reasonable price. This slipcover has been a surprisingly pleasant solution! Not only does it fit well, the way it drapes lends to the comfy-cozy aura of our home. The chair now fits in beautifully and beckons more people to sit in it. Unlike many other slipcovers, this is well tailored and required little "tucking-in" to smooth out the material. Just make sure to iron it before you place it on your own chair for a crisp presentation. Enjoy!
