This rug pad is thick and durable, but not squishy or too soft. It has one side for carpet and one side for hardwood. We cut the pad to fit our rug, then we used the excess under several small rugs just to keep it from being wasted. It definitely keeps our rug in place and it doesn't curl on the edges. It adds a firm, supportive cushioning, but not plush padding. I was concerned about the smell of the rubber backing and/or that our dog would find the rug pad interesting, but it was virtually odorless. Our dog showed zero interest. Sometimes dogs are frustrated/territorial about rubber smells. For the price, quality, and ease of purchase (we looked at MUCH more expensive ones that were not nearly as good), this is a terrific rug pad! I will buy it again if/when I need another sometime.

The rug pad does exactly what it was designed to do--to provide a cushion for a rug. It was a full 8x10 size, and though I've only used it for a month, seems like it is well-made and should last.

We like this rug pad. The edges of our jute rug curl up, which may have little to do with the rug pad and more to do with this rug. However, the rug no longer slides around and is cushioned.

THIS PAD MAKES THE ORIENTAL RUG THICK AND LUXORIOUS. THE RUG DOES NOT SLIDE NOR WRINKLE AND IT IS IN A FAIRLY HEAVY TRAFFIC AREA ON SMOOTH TILE FLOOR. I AM GOING TO BUY THE SAME PAD FOR OTHER RUGS IN MY HOUSE. HIGH QUALITY. I RECOMMEND THIS PAD TO EVERYONE.

If the pads I purchased were for rugs on pad on carpet then the pads do not work well at all. I have three 20’ runners and a 4'x6' Persian rug. I cut the pads to size and placed them under my rugs the right way up. The rugs still creep.

The pad is not in good quality. I was worried that it would damage my rug if I put the rug pad underneath it. I ordered this rug pad by mistake as I thought I was ordering the same one I bought it earlier, which is in great quality. Do not buy this rug pad unless you do not care about the roughness.
