This is best rug pad I've purchased to date. It stays in places, supplies a nice cushion, and is very sturdy. Overall, it was worth paying a little extra. We'll probably have this rug pad forever. I can't even compare it to the "sticky" cheaper thin pads that we've purchased in the past---those don't hold up over time and don't supply the grip and cushion that this rug pad does. Buy it!

Ordered two rug pads for rugs I had also bought. Delivery was fast. I didn't want a lot of bulk, just protection for my floor. These worked out well so far. Won't know how they hold up until I have used them for a while but for the price they are fine.

I've heard that some rubber can be damaging to hardwood. Is this 'real' rubber or synthetic? A friend had a rubber underpad on her hardwood and it 'ate' the finish leaving the pattern etched into it. I don't want to ruin mine. Is this a safe type of rubber?ansafae on May 13, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello ansafae, The backing is a natural rubber with an all natural SBR latex . We have certified the rug pad against the AATCC Gray Scale for Staining and it passed with highest rating. We always recommend that a customer check with the manufacturer of their hardwoods if they have any other hesitations.
