very substantial
hard to get too excited about a rug pad but this one has a very "substantial" feel under foot. Definitely a big step up from the typical wimpy little grippy pads. I think another reviewer had an issue with the folds...Perhaps if it were rolled it would be a little easier, but I had no problems once I put the rug on top. Flattened out very quickly,

Great rug pad - just what I had expected! One side is rubberized to prevent slipping with the floor, the other side is a dense scratchy material that grips well with the rug itself. Very pleased.

Does the job
This rug pad does a good job holding our rug in place on a hardwood floor. We have a smaller one that we are using on top of a rug, and it works well there too. It is folded rather than rolled. That creates bumps in the pad that take quite a while to smooth out. It would be better if the larger sizes were rolled.

Great rug pad for a great price.
Love it. Cut off a few inches on each side to fit my rug. Marked with yardstick & sharpie. Then cut against old board using a utility knife. Left clean edge. Adds nice cushiness to my rug in addition to the non skid factor. Couldn't find anything like it anywhere else for this cheap!!! Got the 10x14 size. You need help to move it.

Great pad
This is a really nice pad. We bought in an 11' x 14'. Great cushion affect. It smelled when we first opened it, but that went away,quickly.

Nice padding, still slips
If you are looking to add padding under an area rug that will have a lot of heavy furniture on it then this will work for your needs. However, it was a beast to manage because it was so big. It was very hard for just the 2 of us to adjust the rug on top of it to try to get it straight. In the end we decided it just wasn't worth it. We returned it.
