I bought the aubergine duvet and it is definitely eggplant-dark purple, as it shows in the photo. The striping is beautiful, catching the light and adding an elegant touch to what would otherwise be a fairly plain expanse of quality material. One button did pop off as soon as I unfolded the duvet. That made me think, "Oh, here we go." But aside from the missing button, the duvet is gorgeous. It's thick and heavy around my down comforter--particularly nice now that the temperatures here have dropped into the 30s and 40s at night. It comes with two matching shams. I made the bed with crisp, white, 500-thread-count cotton sheets, also from Overstock.com. I have a black sleigh bed and let me tell you, the ensemble looks like a bed out of a ritzy hotel room. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the purchase and would recommend this duvet to anyone in the market for one. (The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because I have to sew the button back on.)

I bought this duvet cover at Overstock after I couldn't find what i was looking for at local linen stores. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The material is a nice weight yet still soft and comfortable.

Beautiful color (aubergine) and fit, and washes well without wrinkling. Our only problem is that we have pets, and the the pet hair really shows. Otherwise it's a great buy!

i only say 4 stars for value because seriously, at the end of the day its a super big piece of fabric and nothing more. but i love the color. it was super soft, right out of the box and its going to last a good long time. my cats seem to like it too, so thats gotta be good.

I was really excited when I ordered this item, for I had had a leopard print set since I was in high school, and was very pleased when it arrived. The color bled a bit in the wash, but I expected that much. Wrinkling can be a problem, but I don't really care about that. The fabric breathes and feels very good to the touch. I love my new bed set!

I have a down comforter that was worn out and expensive to keep clean! I would have to spend $40 like 4 times a year to dry clean it. So I ordered the white duvet cover, and its so pretty! It looks like I bought a new down comforter! It is soooo soft and the fabric is great!!

I purchased the aubergine and absolutely love the color, look and feel of the fabric. I had no problem with wrinkling or odor as someone else mentioned. The only thing that I was unhappy with was that I believe it shrunk when I washed it. I have a queen bed and ordered a king sized duvet and cover. Glad that I got the larger size as it doesn't reach from the foot of the bed to the very top (about three inches shy). The sides however work out fine and hang down enough to provide coverage. So - I would buy this in one size bigger than you need and get something else if you have a king size bed.

I purchased this duvet cover in aubergine. Beautiful color, great quality and affordable price. The only problem I had was that it wrinkles quite a bit and I had to take an iron to it.

I love this duvet and am very happy with my purchase. I chose it mainly for the color, amethyst. I've been trying to find a nice, quality duvet in dark purple/plum for about a year now and this is the first one that I've come across which seemed to be of high quality. The sizing is perfect, the cotton is soft and I finally have bedding that matches the rest of my room! I would definitely recommend reading the other reviews about this product as I found them to be quite helpful in making my decision.

This duvet cover (I ordered taupe) was the perfect color for my room. I agree with other reviewers who complained about the wrinkles. Yes, you will have to iron it but then it looks lovely. Good value for the money.

Great quality with nice button closures however, it was a bit bigger than my king comforter. Good value for a low price.

Pluses: Good quality fabric; nice, non-tacky sheen; easy care; nice texture; did not shrink in hot water and drier; it arrived unblemished and in an unopened package. Minuses: It is comfortable, but does not have the luxurious feel that I would expect from a $160 retail cover. On the other hand, the comfort level is definitely worth the $80 asking price. Also, it is not quite light sage; it verges on light blue with a hint of light green--call it luminous blue-green (but we liked the color after all). But this is the problem with vague nomenclature and inaccurately color-calibrated photos. General comments: Some of the reviews mention two seams that run down the length of the cover. I am not sure why these seams are there; perhaps the factory works with narrow bolts of cloth. But in any case, be well aware that IF you have a queen size bed, the seams will very nicely line up with the edges of the bed, rendering them either inconspicuous or a nice design feature, depending on your outlook.

This is a nice duvet that fit the comforter perfectly. It looks nice and is a good, quality fabric.

Color is just like the picture - fabric is soft and luxurious. Overall I love this duvet. My only complaint is that the comforter keeps sliding down in the duvet. This is my first duvet/down comforter combination, so maybe that's just normal for duvet covers. That alone is the reason for the 4* rating...everything else is perfect.
