Ordered this to go underneath my new 8 x 8 rug (from overstock, of course!!)....worked beautifully protecting my new hardwoods. I showed it to the carpet company where I purchased my flooring and carpet lady said it was a steal at this price!!!!

I did not have to trim this at all when I paired it with an 8' square rug. This pad is not as thick as I had hoped but it fits the bill and definitely better than one of those flimsy waffle weave pads. The rug stays put.

The rug pad was a bit difficult to unfold so you definitely need a friend but it laid out quite easily and enhanced the rug.

This pad is definitely recommended for use under the 8' square area rug that I purchased. Although I expected it to have a little more cushion I do believe it will extend the life of the area rug as well as protect my hardwood floor. Would recommend to anyone looking for just that.

The rug pad was exceptionally thick and gives the area rug a more cushioned feeling. It was also easy to trim to fit and I would purchase this pad again for other area rugs.

Rug was as described, not as thick as I expected, with the pad, it is a nice thickness. Style was limited because of size, wanted 8x8 only a few offered, and fewer when trying to match with 8x10. I am enjoying the casual feel of the natural fiber, it is soft to the touch.

Very good carpet pad, soft. Using underneath jute rug. Works perfectly.

Adds cushion to our rug. Fit perfectly without needing any trimming. Holds the rug in place...mission accomplished! Loved the fact that it came delivered to my door step and I didn't have to try to haul one home from a store, that would have probably been more expensive and not as nice!

In the process of renovating our kitchen, our hardwood floors were refinished. After going through that experience, we want to maintain the floor's beauty and scratch-free appearance. Therefore, I bought a spill-friendly rug to put underneath our kitchen table. However, the rug was coated with a plastic covering on the back. Our floor refinishers advised us to avoid hard plastic items. After reading the positive reviews that the rug pad did not adhere or ruin hardwood floors, I gave it a try. I had bought a 8' x 8' rug and the 8' x 8' rug pad fit perfectly without me having to trim it! Love that convenience. Have bought similar rug pads, but different dimensions. Great product and best overall price.

I am very happy with these capet pads. They add just enough to make things more confrotable, but not too high to look odd. Very happy.

This rug pad is significantly better than any other rug pad I have ever purchased.

The best I can say is that this pad keeps the rug from moving. I suppose the pad looks like it's well made...for what it is. It's not what I thought I was ordering, though. I understand pads serve different purposes and applications vary. However, this " Superior Hard Surface and Carpet Rug Pad (8' Square)" is NOT the same product I ordered in September with the exact same product name "Superior Hard Surface and Carpet Rug Pad (8'x11'). Nor is it the pad pictured. It is less dense, thinner, and the surface is less uniform.All of this suggests to me an Overstock issue in terms of different suppliers, inaccurate stocking, or possible lack of internal quality control at the factory because the first one I received was excellent. The September order was also delivered in a much more timely manner as opposed to 13 days for this "in stock" item. That said, I wasn't inclined to go through the hassle of repackaging and returning in hopes of a different outcome.

This is a beautiful rug. I placed it in a sitting area under a kitchen table. The colors are bold and vibrant. And the rug is plush. It was my first purchase from overstock and I plan to shop here more.

This is a great rug pad. My rug stays in place and it feels so much softer . I will purchase another.
