I bought this pad for a rug that was buckling on carpet. I set the pad up under the rug and turned my dining room table upside down on top of it for a month to try to flatten it out. Unfortunately, the rug continues to buckle, and the pad has not helped. I am sure the pad is probably fine for other purposes, it just could not fix my rug!

I bought this looking for something that would provide padding for my 6-month-old son as he crawls around on the rug. It's an okay pad, but hardly "superior," and provides very little actual padding (the grip function works fine). I don't think it was worth what I paid for it, but returning something of this size is just a hassle. I'm going to use it in a different room and look for a pad someplace where I can see what I'm buying before I commit to it. Overstock.com did a good job filling the order, but I feel like the description and price are a bit inflated.

For years, I had been tripping on two of my area rugs in my children's rooms. They would bunch and move despite other (inferior) rug pads and my constant shifting. This rug pad made all the difference. I can't believe something so minor could make me so happy. It is intended for either hardwood or carpet surfaces, depending on which side you use. Works like a charm for both surfaces...I have tried them both. I am about to order another one for my study! I highly recommend this rug pad! I read the reviews and agree that this is a pad that is superior. I like that it is reversible -- one side for placing over a wood or tile floor and one side if your area rug will go over carpeting. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality rug pad at a great price.

This rug looks beautiful on the internet, although the pic is small. It is a good price compared to other rugs I have looked at, however once it was unrolled I was unhappy with the coloring. I don't mind that there is a lot of color, but there is much too much burgundy in this rug that does not show on the web photo. If you like burgundy or want it this is the rug for you, if not don't order because to ship back is expensive.

I was very pleased with the quality and thickness (1/3" thick) of the pad and although it wasn't especially easy to cut it was certainly doable. I would suggest sharp heavy duty scissors and gloves. My husband did three quarters of the cutting (I ordered two 6x9 to place under my 10x14 carpet which meant there was a lot to cut. The pad helped tremendously to soften the four wrinkles that have yet to flatten out from a carpet I'd previously purchased from Overstock.com. To date that carpet has been my only disappointment. With the pad, my carpet feels noticably softer. I'm glad I made the purchase. As with everything I've ever ordered from Overstock.com it was delivered within the week.

I have always used the cheaper rug pads that you can buy anywhere that you can also use to line shelves, etc. This is a much better way to to pad your rug and investment. There is a big difference in comparision to the flimsy pads. I plan on replacing all my old pads with this type of rug pad. It will shed a little around the edges but after settling in no problem. Walking on the rug you feel like it is plush carpet...

I had already purchased 8 of these pads so I knew what to expect. These pads provide an excellent cushioning for rugs. The only down side is that smaller rugs and runners that don't have enough weight to hold them down or are not held down by furniture can "walk" and need to be adjusted periodically. But this is not all bad as they don't stick to hard wood finishes and don't leave marks on the floors as I hav seen less expensive rug pads do.

This is a wonderful carpet pad. It provides great cushioning though it is not overly thick. It also provides good adhesion to wood floors so that the carpets/rugs do not slid around. I've used many other "non-skid" pads before, but this by far is the best and lives up to its name - non-skid!!! Recommend highly - at least for larger sized carpets.
