Bought this because I couldn't justify one of those expensive, name-brand full spectrum lamps that are supposed to clear up winter sadness. I live where there's lots of sunlight year round, so no worries there. But I sew and quilt and do other handwork, and need a good true-color light. This filled the bill perfectly. I gave only 4 stars for appearance because it's not much to look at, just utilitarian, which is fine by me but others may find it wanting. Also gave only four stars for workmanship, because the bulb occasionally comes unseated, causing the light to go off. No big deal to re-seat it so I don't mind -- but again, others my feel this is a drawback. I love it, and am so glad for the savings and speedy delivery. Thanks again, Overstock!

I purchased this lamp as a reading lamp for me while my husband is watching TV next to me. It works like a champ in that regard; he says it doesn't bother him in the slightest. It is a bit stiff to adjust but is well made and a good value. If I had it to do over again I would go for 18 Watts rather than the 27 Watts but that is my fault .

The product is all that I expected. It was very easy to assemble. The only trouble that I had was the fact that the bulb tended to flicker when it was first assembled. However, I discovered that I hadn't had the bulb snapped in all the way. Once that was done correctly, the lamp works great!

This is the fourth light I have purchased for friends. The natural light is easy on the eyes, the adjustable neck allows you to put the light where you need it, and the price makes it a very good value.

Occasionally the lamp has to be pushed into the mount for the lamp to turn on. I don't know if this is a lamp or bulb problem but it is a minor inconvenience and I suspect it will resolve over time. In all other respects it is all that it is advertised to be and excellent for reading.

This is a plastic looking lamp with the decorative value of a beige office file cabinet. Assembly is relatively easy when the included directions are followed. The lamp does not work when the bulb is installed correctly. The bulb needs to be pulled out and left akilter to work consistently. Come to think of it, where will I ever find the replacement bulb? What was I thinking when I bought this??
