This rice cooker works!
After using a cheaper rice cooker that spewed out water, I was hesitant to buy a new rice cooker. I read all the reviews on Overstock and decided to buy this one, even though it was a bit pricey. After using this rice cooker frequently over the past six months:* The rice cooker still works, no burned out heating unit, or lights that don't work.* All the times I've used this cooker, the rice is cooked well---not too overdone or hard.* The rim of the rice cooker is difficult to clean up after letting the rice cooker set. I would recommend cleaning the rim of the pot asap to avoid getting a sticky crust on the rim.* To cook brown rice, add a ratio of 2:1 of water to rice, compared to cooking white or jasmine rice. This will vary according to how you like your rice cooked.One reviewer noted to soak brown rice overnight, which I haven't tried yet.This rice cooker has worked great for these past six months and I highly recommend it.

Cooks well but poor quality
Bought this rice cooker based on reviews. I didn't really like the non-retractable power cord, but I decided to keep it anyway. Less than five months since I purchased the product and it's already broken. I've always had the japanese made rice cookers and those have lasted at least five years without any issue.

Mr Rice
I am loving my new rice cooker I recently purchase from overstock.com. It works really good, I have no problem with it and had it for over a little over a month. I used it to make rice everyday and it keeps the rice fluffy and warm all day.

No More Burnt Rice.
I have really enjoyed using this rice cooker. It has a very simple look and design. It works like it states it will. I have made plain white rice and flavored rices like my favorite red rice recipe and beans and rice from Zatarans. We like a lot of rice, and this gets used at least 2-4 times per week. All have cooked to perfection. Also, the rice cooks even more quickly than if it was on the stovetop. If you are tired of burning rice on the stovetop, this will make a great addition to your kitchen. I gave a one star downgrade on workmanship b/c when the item arrived, the tag on front that says "Mr Rice" was not stuck properly to the unit. However, I was able to press it firmly and it has stuck in place to this point.
