Supentown 3-cup Stainless Steel Cooker and Steamer

This cooker makes excellent rice. Unlike the typical, more inexpensive types, which conduct heat directly to the pan containing the rice, this model steams the rice in a slightly elevated stainless steel bowl. So add water to the cooker, place the rice and water in the insert, place the insert in the cooker, cover and start. Oddly, the lid is a mirror-finish stainless steel but the body is brushed stainless steel. I would prefer both with the same finish. Other reviews mentioned rust spots inside the cooker, and that is my experience too. The interior stainless steel obviously contains impurities, but the spots are superficial and should not effect performance or longevity. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product.

We were not sure if rice will stick (when compared with non-stick rice cooker). First time we try, and as long as we follow instruction (add 1 and 1/2 cup of water in the outer pot) + after we finish with the rice, let the inner pot soak a couple of hours, it is easy to clean. Positive on stainless steel rick cooker.

I have used this product 4 times since receiving it. The rice cooked perfectly each time. Was also very easy to clean the rice steamer. HOWEVER - the inner steel cavity in the base has developed rust spots and patches - within 3 uses!!!!! Very disappointed with this poor quality material/workmanship. I do not want to be cooking with a rusted product. The rust spots and patches are not easy to remove. For a product that costs so much more than others and claims to be made of stainless steel of high quality, it is not a worthwhile investment at all. I am glad I ordered the smaller size of this product. I will be returning this after speaking with customer service.

It is rusted so bad after using the 1st time. I cannot clean the rust.It is supposed to be nice stainless steel. People please do not wast your money on this product.
