This is an excellent quality awning, and very attractive as well. The installation requires two people and a minimum of tools. It took about 6 or 7 hours at a very leisurely pace. Maybe the only negative would be the clarity of the instructions, but when hasn't that been the case? All the parts (and many extras) were there, and once everything was installed it seems very sturdy. I did bolt the footings to the cememnt. It has already been through a windstarm and survived with no casualties. I bought this because I live in Seattle area and want to grill year round. So I did not think a cloth awning would be a good investment, because it would be put away wet too often. The grilling has began!

This is the third palram-feria patio cover I have purchased. We live in an extremely windy place but have had no problem with wind, snow load, etc. They go together extremely well (read instructions carefully) are really strong, and have little maintenance. One recommendation: re-tighten all the nuts after a day or two, especially when the temp is high.
