Thease units suck so much more power than window units, do not use them unless you have too. All of there btu ratings are a lot lower rhan they state also. This is the voice of experience.

Puts out a lot of water
Cools down our living room in a good amount of time. Pretty loud and the condensation collection fills up a large pitcher of water each day when using all day. Love the UV light option.

For small rooms
The unit does not completely cool the maximum room size specified in the literature. It would do well in a smaller room not the maximum size the unit 'can cool'. During our summer months, I ran this unit often in the garage and it never completely cooled the entire room. This room is enclosed with an insulated cieling, and no windows so very little loss of cooled air. Had I know this I would have purchased a larger BTU air conditioner for the garage. The drain hose is flimsy and you have to reattach it constantly. The carbon fillter screens are easy to remove and replace, but one of my screens plastic frame was warped when I recieved the unit. I had the exhaust hose installed in the wall of the garage so the venting was not a problem.

Flexible venting was hard to work with.
The unit was pefect for the small area that we needed it for. It did, however take a while to begin cooling and the flexible vent tubing was awkward and hard to work with.

Great cooler
We bought this cooler just in time. Right after it arrived the temperatures soared into triple digits but this cooler kept our home comfortable and provided coverage for more space that it was rated for. It was easy to install; I did it by myself. Highly recommend.

great find
I absolutely love it. I live alone and it was so easy to install and to move from room to room. It cooled my place down in less than a half an hour! My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Absolutely no complaints!

Fantastic Product, Even Better Customer Service
The size, portability, installation and function of this air conditioner is outstanding.. perfect for small bedrooms. I installed them in my kids upstairs bedrooms by myself (I am not handy!) in less than an hour (probably would take a handy person 20 minutes or so.) It's 90 degrees in Seattle today and their rooms are cool as can be. LOVE it! I would like to add, the customer service at Overstock has been tremendous. More than I could ever expect and hope for. I will be a lifelong customer because of the helpful and understanding way I've been treated.

For my sunroom
I purchased this unit for my new sunroom. It has an exhaust hose for hot air and a water drain tube. These tubes connect about 5 inches from the ground with a port 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall to the outside. It has window conversion kit (window fittings with exhaust hose) which would work well for a horizontal sash opening. I would suggest considering building into the knee-wall of the sunroom a air conditioning port, where ever you plan to stand the unit in the room. UV light is a great feature to have.
