The company that manufactured or shipped this chair did not package it appropriately, so it arrived damaged with the foot bar broken off and the paint chipped. The stool was covered with thin bubble wrap and packaged loosely in a cardboard box where it clearly bumped around in transit. When the boxes arrived for the 2 stools I purchased, the packing tape on top was already loose. Overstock Customer Service was responsive and professional in handling the return and refund. I will continue to use Overstock but I will not purchase this brand again.Read More

I ordered 2 of the Sunpan Paxton barstools. They arrived quickly and although one of the boxes looked damaged, the barstool was in perfect condition. The color is a deep, rich chocolate brown that goes well with my furniture in an adjoining room. Both stools feel solid and the seat cushion is very comfortable. Leather feels softer than a less expensive barstool I bought to compliment this pair. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.Read More
We looked at literally hundreds of bar stools before deciding on the Sunpan Paxton stool. Our rec room bar has a distressed black finish and the sofa in the room is dark brown leather. This bar stool compliments both. The style is classy, contemporary and it looks like a very high-end barstool. The lower profile backrest was a plus because it is about the same height as our bar top. The stool is surprisingly lightweight, yet sturdy due to the width of the legs and the 4 bars connecting the legs. The black metal plate on the front footrest is appreciated to help stop wear and tear on the footrest. The black wood finish is matte rather than shiny which has a more expensive look and the espresso-colored leather feels buttery-soft. The seat has a thick dense cushion and is very comfortable to sit on. The back is nicely padded, as well. We ordered one....loved it....and promptly ordered 7 more!Read More
