I am very disappointed that this mixer is so flimsy and junky despite the solid looking photo on the website. It is made almost entirely of very lightweight and flimsy plastic and I can't imagine that it will last very long so I am sending it back. I did a fair amount of research, checked out Cuisinart's equivalent which is more expensive but is also largely made of flimsy plastic. I was trying to avoid spending $200 on a Kitchenaid but it seems that they have the only solid and durable stand mixers. Anything else is the same tacky stuff that Sunbean and Cuisinart are churning out. it pains me to have to spend hefty shipping charges to send this product back but it wil probably worth it in the long run. I would advise staying away from this product.

I wanted a standard mixer for making cookies - this one fit the bill. Inexpensive and no more or less than I needed. I recommend ordering the 2 qt bowl as well ( it only comes with the 4 qt mixing bowl).

I am please with the item. I could not locate item of this type in store. I am satisfied .

This mixer works well with thin batters, but cannot handle thicker substances, like dough or icing. Seems a little flimsy. The variety of tools that come with it are a plus for the price. Tried to return this unit because it is not very useful to me, but was past the deadline.

I was very pleased at the appearance of the unit. What made me glad I purchased the unit was its power. One example: a cake I have made for years was fuller and lighter than any before with hand mixers. The thing that really surprised me was how light the unit is in spite of all if its power. Yes, I'm glad I bought it!

I have owned a Sunbeam stand mixer for years and have been very happy with it. So I ordered this one on that merit. Sadly the replacement does not begin to measure up. It is mainly made of plastic so is light weight, not good for a stand mixer. The design is unstable due to the pointed back under the motor so it wobbles when in use. It does come with nice attachments but only one bowl. I only kept it because I had a credit so I paid more what it is worth.

ok, but forget about making bread; it will not last if you do, otherwise it functions well.

This is a great stand mixer. It really gives the more expensive ones a run for their money. It is light weight and easy to use. I am not a heavy duty baker but it easily handled my moderate baking needs.
