Easy to assemble...lightweight to use Easily tore up roots and soil in our flower garden. We have sandy & back-filled soil with may small tree roots. The unit had no problem cultivating this type of root or terrain, except for large roots. I was able to cultivate our front area quickly.
this little tiller surprise the heck out of me it broke up the ground really good made it like silk almost it went thru roots really good but the only thing that got me was the roots would around the blades and i had to stop and clean them but that was a minor thing but general i was surprise how much power it had and was easy to handle i love it
I was thrilled to use this tiller. The Wow's were all over the yard.. It did a much better job than expected and did it exceptionally fast. It turned the existing garden area in a flash and extended it into grass areas never turned with ease... Wonderful purchase and I recommend it highly.
Perfect size to use in raised bed gardening. Turning over loose soil and turning in compost, it does a fine job, but I doubt that it would be much help on prepping new beds with unturned soil. Perfect for the use that I have for it.

Worked pretty well using it to help till an area for a flower/shrub garden. The soil was very packed and rocky, so I had to loose it up a bit first with a pick ax. Once it got into the soil, it worked pretty well. I did go through it a couple times to get adequate depth.
Perfect little tiller. Not too heavy for my 5'4 frame. It digs deep into the soil in between the vegetable rows. Easy to handle and I am 62 years old. I have bought this so I don't have to bend over and pull weeds. What I also like about it is that the weeds do not collect around the blades causing them to get stuck as my previous Mantis tiller did. Perfect machine.
I purchased this tiller for a smaller garden I started two years ago. Being only 5'3" I found it very difficult to get on top of this tiller to dig into the ground. I found this tiller powerful but I wasn't able to dig deep enough to loosen the ground beneath approximately 3" due to my height. I ended up having a friend help me out. He did say the tiller worked good once he started digging into the ground. The tines did a good job breaking up the hard ground but he did have to stop a few times to loosen the wet dirt that adhered to the tines as the tiller shut off completely until you cleared the clog. I also had a problem with the plug staying in my extension cord. Every few minutes it came apart even if I wound it around the handle
product description mentions cultivating to a depth of 7 inches. Is that adjustable to a max of 7 inches. I am refreshing an old lawn so I probably only need to cultivate 4 to 5 inches at most. Please advisejrxmom51 on Mar 6, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
