I was very disappointed in this entertainment center. The center space for electronic items is very, very small making it difficult to close the door. The assembly was a problem due to the poor directions and the poor quality screws included with unit. The screws also were not the sufficient number or size that were needed. This fact caused us to buy what was necessary.

Here's the bad: 1. The hinges and magnets require wood screws, but there are no predrilled holes so its trial and error to get everything lined up properly. 2. It's not deep enough to hold the receiver with the cable connections. I need at least 16", but it gives only 14". I worked around this by not nailing in the lower half of the cardboard back panel so that it can just bow out 2". It works, but wished they had made it just a couple inches deeper. 3. The side doors rub against the frame and don't easily open or close. 4. I have my receiver, cable box and DVD Player, which all barely fit into the tight space. If you have any other devices, forget it, you'll never get them inside the cabinet and the storage areas aren't big enough to hold any devices. 5. No ventiliation, so you must keep the doors open when equipment is powered on. Of course you can't use remote controls anyhow if the doors are closed, so this isn't really an issue, but more an observation. Here's the good 1. It looks nice, seems sturdy and I am happy with the overall look. 2. Price seems reasonable

I love this piece. It's gorgeous. My only problem (that I should have been able to figure out on my own) is that I can't fit everything in it that I wanted... it's in 3 sections-- a wide center section and two smaller side sections. In the center, everything TV-related fits: cable box, dvd player and VCR (yes, I still have one). I had originally wanted to fit all my stereo components in there too, but I was just drawn in by the design of the piece. I love the Chinese-esque brass details and the rich colored wood. So, the stereo sits on the floor in a corder until I can figure out what to do with it. So if you only need a TV stand and those few components, this piece is wonderful, but if you're looking to store more, look for something bigger.

Looks great, lots of compliments. Missed the "assembly required" part of the description (my bad). So when I saw how small the package was I was concerned. I did not want a piece that looks assembled. I am past that stage. Lots of pieces but quite easy to figure out and to assemble (do not attempt without a power screwdriver). When finished it is a sturdy, solid piece with no visible screw head etc that usually identify a assemble yourself piece. It really looks as if it came from a decent furniture store.

My boyfriend and I bought another home in January and we bought this cabinet in March and did not move into the new place until April 26th. I was a bit worried with import furniture's quality and assembly and waiting so long beyond the return window that if there was a problem, I would not be able to return the cabinet once we moved in and built the unit. Well, it was soooo easy if you follow the directions. Building this really needs 2 people. Not that it is a matter of strength but just a matter of having someone help with the details. The color is a bit more cherry than a brown but worked for our new home. It only took 1 hour to assemble and looks amazing!!! Holds our blue ray player and the DVR and room for DVDs. BUY this. I think it looks better in person. it was pretty easy to put together. Warning it is around 80 pounds our UPS driver was not happy with us because we live on the 3rd floor. I love that it have an Asian feel to it my husband doesn't think it does. I think the color and the hardware gives it that touch of Asian feel. I love it! I would buy it again for our 56 in flat screen tv.

I put this together in about 1.5 hr tonight. I love how it smelled like it was just stained. The finish is amazing. I was incredibly easy to put together. All the pieces fit perfectly in the pre made screw holes. The instructions are easy to follow. There are numbers and letter basically making the task a no brainer. The end product is high quality. The wood is thick and nothing was spared in making this product. Excited because this is a piece that will be with me for a long time.

I got the box and opened it up. It was completely disassembled, far more than I expected. I thought it would take me forever to put it together but I have to say, the manufacturer puts IK*A to shame. The instructions were clear, concise, and written by someone that could speak English, not a translation program. I put it together in about 30-45 min with a little help from my significant other (holding the doors in place). It looks great and the TV isn't an eyesore on top like a lot of other TV stands I've used. Great product, if you like Asian inspired furniture, definitely buy it. Quick Tip: If the half circles on the sides and doors don't line up right, you can loosen the screws behind them and move them a little (very little) but it made all the difference. It went from obviously not lining up to just slightly.

My main concern are the 2 center doors. One of the doors was warped, not level with the other and when closed it wasn't flush with the corresponding door. I had to manipulate the magnet and install diagonal on one side for it to be flush. In addition, one door is higher than the other. Not only is it visible at the top and bottom, but the ornament on the front is not aligned. Though this defect is a few centimeters off, the imperfection exists. Depending on the view, it may be more or less obvious. Otherwise, it was extremely easy to assemble. A few holes had to be manipulated in order to assemble. Holes had to be screwed in/opened in order to continue. Once it was assembled, the doors are last. The far left and right doors were assembled without problem. The only issue is when you push on the doors to open, the magnet is so strong that it doesn't spring back and allow you to open without prying open with your finger tips. One piece came broken, consequently, the holes were bigger and screws were no longer catching. It was fixed by replacing the screws with slightly longer and wider screws. I would have given this product an excellent had the 2 main doors been aligned. The other issues were easily overlooked and fixed, but the main focal point is not aligned and that is disappointing. ...But it is beautiful.

Nice addition to my home decor. Got a lot of compliments on the piece. Wood quality is very good, no scratches or blemishes in the finish. Very easy to assemble. Instructions were very easy to read. It took about two hours to assemble, starting with unpacking, sorting out the pieces and assembly. Love it!

Two frame connectors were damaged during transit and their screws had pulled out of the frame. I needed to buy wider screws to be able to reset these connector. It is ashame that an extra trip and expense had to be incured in order to complete the assembly. I guess I had expected too much from Overstock.com

The image on site was very deceiving. Since the TV was shown resting on the stand it created the illusion that the cabinet was much larger than is was. The information on the site did not mention that only a slim (wall mounted) TV could be supported by the cabinet, It would not accomadate a tube TV. We needed the cabinet for a tube TV. Some of the panels arrived damaged so it required ingenuity and a lot of effort to assemble. We called the company in order to get help. The did call back but we were not home and they left a message on the answering machine. However by then we had already assembled the cabinet. The unit is totally inappropriate for an entertainment center. We use it as a small cabinet at the foot of the bed. Even the compartments of the cabinet are too small in order to store anything inside. We would have returned the cabinet but once it was assembled it was not possible to ship it back and we had disposed of the box it arrived in.

Great TV console table. I bought this for a small condo and didn't want it to monopolize the space. It fits a 40 inch TV perfectly. It is a bit low to the ground though, I would have liked it to be a few inches higher. The assembly was easy took me about 1/2 an hour to put together. The directions are exact and easy to follow. Once the piece is together it looks like a solid wood piece of furniture. I do agree with other reviewers that the price is a bit high, but I got this item on sale, and had a coupon. I love the subtle asian touch it adds to the decor of the living room. I would recommend this item.

Great piece for the price. Assembly was very easy - and the finished product looks great. You would not know that this piece was under $XXX. It looks more expensive than it is.

you need wood glue to make sure it remains solid. Moderate to good assembly skills. The first box I received looked like it was dropped out of a plane, 75% of the wood had imperfections and dents. It looked like a returned item. The first customer service rep wanted to replace individual pieces, so I hung up and the next sent a whole new one.

This item is advertised as having an "ESPRESSO" finish. The color shown in the pictures online is PERFECT...but, this product is RED. Cherry finish would be as close as possible to the actual color. The craftsmanship is ok, but many of the metal accents do not align properly after building. I am whole-heartedly disappointed with this product. :(

I was really excited to receive this entertainment center; however, upon arrival the color is much more of a orangey-red. The description says walnut (which is what I received), but in the photo it is more of a rich, dark brown which is what I wanted. It has a beautiful design and is easy to put together, so my only qualm is the color. It's also much lower to the ground than I expected. Be sure to check the measurements if you want to order it.
