The desk is not bright red - more a woody burnt red. But looks great all the same!

I ordered this desk for a small guest room, and it is exactly what was needed. Compact and solid with a nice glossy finish (careful, it chips easily, as I found out when I put it on its side during transport after taking it out of its packaging.)

The package arrived much more quickly than expected ! I had it assembled in minutes. It is really well made. I am using it for a sewing table that will convert to a serving table in a small apartment. I just love the cognac red color ! PS. There was some confusion regarding delivery as the box had a ding in it exactly on the label. The folks at Overstock got on the the phone with me and the shipping company, and the package was here within a few hours ! 5 Star Service ! Thanks a million !

This was exactly what I was looking for, a simple yet modern in style. Shipment was excelent. The desk came assembled, except for the legs and that was really easy. The color is not as bright as seen on the website but it's better for me. Customer service was awesome. This was a great buy:)

This is a great desk. Looks very good for the money - well made. Very easy to assemble - just two screws into each of the 4 legs. The original desk top had a chip in it & Overstock's customer service sent another one right out & they were very courteous.

We recently bought two of these for our office. We did read the other reviews and knew they would not be the same red as in the picture, and that is true.. they are more of a mahogany. We really like the color. The drawers are really shallow though, and there's a little stopper thing in them that gets stuck on stuff which can be annoying... but as long as you don't plan to put more than some pads of paper and pens they are fine. Would have given an overalll of 5 if not for the drawers since we can't use them for as much as we'd like.

After reading the other reviews, i decided to try this one. I was looking for a burgundy/brick red table and this one matched perfectly. So if you are looking for the red in the photo, thats not the color. But this is a really neat accent color and matches the drapes perfectly. Its sturdy and arrived quickly.

I would have given this item a raving 5 stars, but the color is not really a true red, as in the picture. The color is more of a maroon red and will not go with the room intended, so it will be going back. Other than that, I would give workmanship and value a definite 5 stars...if this is the right color for you.

As others have said, this quality little desk isn't red--it's a nicely finished deep cranberry/burgundy, really a lovely color with a quality finish; wonderful bargain. the legs are sturdy and shaped to fit into the desk top so that it fits strongly; its hardware is substantial and installation (8 screws) was easy. The packing was superb; it would be almost impossible to arrive damaged. Be advised: The two drawers are well made, but very shallow; an office stapler wouldn't fit on its side. And, as usual with overstock, it arrived in five days with UPS shipping advisories. Thanks!

The desk is nice quality with rich color for the price. Looks like a more expensive piece. Plain and simple, great for kids or a contemporary office space. It nicely fits a computer monitor and keybord with ample room for writing too. Simple to assemble and the drawers glide easily.

We are very happy with the style and quality of this desk. It is perfect for our kids - we bought it for them to use for homework and for projects. It has a nice big surface, w/o being huge and they both can sit on one side. (Wish Overstock sold coordinating chairs) Only complaint is the color- represented on website as a bright fire engine red- but actually a deep dark brick red- almost burgundy. This may be an issue for some buyers. Overall very happy and would recommend this desk to others.

I bought this desk for a few reasons. I wanted something fairly simple for my bedroom that wouldn't take up too much space. I was moving my computer into my room, and needed something to put it on. But I wanted it to look good and not be bulky. I read the reviews after I saw this one and liked the look. I couldn't be happier. First off...it is bigger than I thought, but in a good way. It fits my monitor, keyboard, printer, speakers, router, a lamp and telephone with ease. And there is still room for my coffee, and paperwork. I can use it for my computerwork and paperwork without a problem. There are 2 small drawers in the front for everything I need at the desk. Before I had an old computer desk that was bulky and had no drawers and things were everywhere, so I am content with this. It is taller than I had thought which is nice because the computer chair fits in nicely. I love the red. It is a nice old fashioned red. Not a bright kid color. It is sturdy. It doesn't rock at all. It is constructed nicely and the drawers flow with ease. As for putting it together..that was the best part! I hate having to put things together because they never line up and always seem flimsy. All I had to do was put the legs on...and they provided the tool to do it! Overall this desk is great. For a student it would be great with lots of room for papers and/or computer. If you're not putting a computer on it...it would be great for kids projects with so much room. For an adult bedroom, just perfect for bills, and computer and whatnot. As for shipping....QUICK! And I could track it all the way. Cost...shipping cost was perfect! Price of desk was very reasonable. Especially since it is so well made. It is a very nice, very sturdy desk that could go in any room and be used for anything becasue it IS so simple. I've got my family shopping at overstock now!

The color is NOTHING like the picture. It is not a glossy red, but a dull brick color. The workmanship is terrible - the legs do not fit well and the desk is wobly. This is a terrible product that I would not recomment to anyone.

We are very please with the desk. Solid build, easy assembly, good color. It is a little taller than we expected but nothing a taller chair couldn't take care of. Very good buy.

I have the desk on a wall in my dinning room. Looks great as a desk and doubles as a serving table for company. Compliments my furniture.

As with everything I have purchased from Overstock, I am pleased and impressed with the quality for the price and the ease of putting the item together. The desk is a perfect piece in my combined office guest room. The red is more of an aged brick red than the red in the photo; but that was just the color I was looking for!
