Stretch Wing Chair Cover

I have 2 older gold wingback chairs that are good shape but are very ugly. I looked at several different chair covers and decided on this one because the description states that the slipcover fits "snugly and securely on the most difficult chair styles" and this one received good reviews. I measured my chair to make sure the covers would work and found that my chairs are closer to 27 inches wide but since the material is stretchy and I thought that I could tuck in any excess material. I probably should have read the return policy before I made the purchase but found out after I received the covers that only unopened products could be returned. I opened one of the covers and found that it did not fit my chair at all. The material is stretchy but is so loose that the chair looks terrible. I tried tucking in all of the excess fabric but once you sit in the chair it looks very sloppy again. I am more disappointed that I could not return the product once the package had been opened but did not know if the cover would work until I tried it on the chair. I feel like I wasted $** and my chair looks worse with the cover on. I returned the other unopened cover and received a refund less $*.00 for the shipping.

the material has a lot of stretch to it and pulls out of the chairs easily so it needs to be tucked in every time the chair is used. I do not think they are going to hold up over time very well. I purchased them because I have two wing back chairs about the same size that did not match. I have purchased better slip covers in the past. the only reason I went with these was the color.

When I opened the package the cover looked a little darker than what I had expected. The color "oatmeal" I would have thought to be more like the color of oatmeal that I have for breakfast and this was more beige-light tan. However it works with my living room and looks good with my other furniture. It took a little time to get it on the chair and placed so that all the excess was tucked in but once I did, it looked very nice. I like the stretchy material and it stays in place pretty well. I am pleased with how it looks and it was so much less expensive than buying a new chair.

This slipcover was purchased for a decorating client. It worked out just great and saved many hundreds of dollars by not having to reupholster the wing chair. I liked it so much that I did it again for another client!
