I absolutely love this light and continue to get compliment after compliment about it. I kept coming back to it whenever I was searching for a chandelier and finally decided to just go ahead and get it. It goes perfect in my dining room. I have an old Victorian house and this light brings together perfectly the style of the house and my more modern decorating taste. I have 10 ft 11 in. ceilings and it falls about 6 ft from the floor. This was without using any of the chain to hang it from the ceiling. This is great for me but the height of the light should be considered before ordering. This would be way to tall for a standard 8 ft room. The light is also extremely bright. It calls for 15 60 watt bulbs. I used 6-60 watt, 6-40 watt, and 3-20 watt and it is still very bright. I would recommend all 40 watt depending on the size of the space or a dimmer light switch on the wall. It took about an hour to an hour and a half to get everything togehter and hung. It is extremely heavy. I recommend having at least 2 people to hang it, one holding and one attaching to the ceiling. You may even want two holding and one hanging. It is very wide and somewhat awkward to try to hold from below while being attached. I would give it a level 6 difficulty overall if you are familiar with hanging lights and electric work. You will also want to make sure that the light elctric box in the ceiling is very secure and can handle the weight. Overall, it is gorgeous, the crystals and light covers are beautiful, and I would highly recommend to anyone that has the space for it.
