I bought these canisters because I was looking for something a little larger than usual to for storage and decorative purposes in a large corner of my kitchen counter. They look wonderful and are big enough that I can put a standard size bag of flour in the largest one and not end up with snow when I close it, and the same with sugar in the mid-size container. I put brown sugar in the smallest and love finally having these things out on the counter where I can access them quickly while cooking and the containers look really rich. When you get them you have to screw the knobs on, just FYI. You do have to give the lids a tug to get them off, but that was fine for me because I want to know they aren't letting air in. The only reason I didn't give 5 out of 5 is that the knobs are metal and I would have preferred heavy glass or stainless steel.

Don't waste your money. Cheaply made. Metal corroded after first wash

The lid didn't sit flush on the base at all. There was a large visible gap no matter which way the lid is positioned. Also, the metal handle leaves marks where it rests on the ceramic.

I am very happy with this set. It looks beautiful in my kitchen and was even nicer than I expected. Nice heavy, substantial glass and metal construction. I highly recommend this beautiful set.

First set arrived damaged. It took overstock almost a week to figure out what to do. The second set arrived. The lids are either to loose on the seal, or to tight. The are metal so the shape is not perfectly round. Would not buy again.

This was the first nice set of canisters I've owned after about 20 years of worn metal ones. I could tell they were very fragile before I got the whole set out of the box and made a small chip on one of the lids almost immediately. I decided to take the seals off from around the lids in order to open and close them more carefully. I don't recommend these if kids are around. I also didn't like the orange color in the big canister when they all sat on the counter together, so I separated them into pairs and enjoy the color blend much more. Other than my clumsy first encounter, I am very pleased with the colors and sizes and think they add a lot to my kitchen.

We really liked this compost pail. In fact, I'm coming back to buy a second one, as the first one didn't survive a fall from the porch railing to the driveway during transport to the composter out back. We have mildly salty water that rusts anything metal, so this is a great find. The only problem we have with it, and this is a big drawback, is that we could not find replacement filters ANYwhere!! At first, I didn't think about it, then started washing the filters while looking for more, but in the end, they were shrinking and wouldn't fit in the lid any more. This became a problem. It's the best solution I've found so far, so I am going to buy another. But if anyone can find filters, please post!!

Finally, I have found a near-perfect cooking oil container. I have searched years for one that was metal ( to handle hot oil); had a pour spout (to make pouring oil easier and cleaner); attached handle (to prevent possible burns when carrying hot oil); large enough to do the job, yet small enough to keep on the counter or stove top; and with a strainer to help keep crumbs out of the oil. Well this oil container had it all! I am so happy to have found this wonderful item and "tickled pink" that it was so affordable that I was able to purchase 2 of them. I use one for fish oil and one for other oil. They seem to be quite durable and and look very nice with my stainless steel and black kitchen appliances. The styling of the container makes it work well with contemporary, formal and rustic/country decor (in my opinion)! My only querk with this container is that I wish that its strainer holes were just a bit smaller to remover more particles. Please note that the size of this is great for holding everyday cooking oil but is certainly not for suited for accomodating the large amounts of oil from deep fryers (unless you purchase several of them)! Other than that, the 2 I purchased are serving me very well and I highly recommend this container!!!
