I've just returned this chair. In the final stages of assembly, the bottom seam of the flimsy "faux lather" material ripped apart, and the zipper separated in multiple locations, much like the zipper in a cheap pair of jeans. Assembly was logical, based more on looking at the photo on the Overstock website, than on the nearly useless "instructions" provided. Pleased with a simple return procedure.
I know that I will not order from Overstock.com again; out of the three items I ordered, I had to return two due to broken parts/shoddily made. On this chair, we were putting on the chair seat cover when the zipper broke (pull came off teeth). When I tried to reattach the pull, it disintegrated in my hand. Yes, Overstock made it very easy to return the items, but that's not the point; trying to put the items back in the box was not easy, and it set back our remodel time table by a few weeks.
i love the chair but i would warn it is very low to the ground and a little hard to get out of if you are not young. it is very comfy for watching tv and looks amazing. just the style i wanted. it is also light enough to move easily. putting it together took about a half hour and was a bit challenging but not a big deal if you take it step by step.no tools required.
not the best wood used for the chair. scratch on one leg. and quality not the greatest. grommets fell out when we tried to install screws. directions were ridiculous - better off not looking and figuring out on your own how to put it together. I bought it for corner of bedroom so it wont get high use for sitting in. It is comfortable and looks nice. afraid it would not stand up to a lot of sitting on it. doesnt seem that durable. not bad for the price and the use I intended for it.
Bought this chair to serve two purposes, fill a corner in my bedroom and use to rock my infant granddaughter to sleep. The chair met my needs and is actually quite comfortable once you get use to it's slight reclining position. Only concern was the time it took me to assemble because there are no written instructions, only pictures. I am sure someone more apt in details and construction would probably have an easier time.
